Across heather and through newly planted woodland from the Loch Doon cafe to Shear Hill and Carwaur. Then over similar terrain to Wee Hill of Glenmount. An increasing number of baby-heads to negotiate as I traipsed further south to take in Fence of Knockdon and the more interesting Doon of Waterhead, making use of ATV tracks and deer/sheep trods where these were available. NE to Big Hill of Glenmount before E to the Loch Doon road and a well earned butty and cuppa. | summitter | 07/06/2023 |

9th hill of 11 today after a 5 hill circuit from Straiton and an out and back to Genoch Inner hill. This loop started from the Loch Braddan car park and i climbed Tairlaw South top and Craig Dhu dropping down over felled forestry to the pebbly river where i enjoyed jumping from rock to rock. Used reservoir access lane and then climbed direct from there to grassy summit with cairn. Easy walking on pasture. Other cairns are apparent on another grassy rise but this looked noticeably lower. Descent back to the road and continued towards Fence of Knockdon. | Dazingdale | 09/05/2017 |
