After arriving at Bearnus bothy for 2 overnight stays a late afternoon walk from the track at 393415. Up to the sheep fanks and then a ATV track of sorts before going over the wall at approx 397401 and directly to the summit. D. Dave escorted me to the wall before he headed west to the Tump. Glorious day.bolton31/05/2023

RHS meet. Solo. From ferry along main track across Ulva to a short distance west of Bearnus Bothy. Then over a stile and along a track to a sheep fank, continuing on ATV track to gate and stile over deer fence. A short distance beyond went over a wall and followed a narrow path towards the lochan at the col; before the lochan was reached up NE and then S below a line of crags and up E in a gap in the crags, still on a path. Path runs out but across easy ground to the summit of Beinn Chreagach. Back same way.pwbellarby25/03/2023

Fantastic sense of wildness about this island and most definitely one of the very best Hebridean panoramas all around from this spectacularly dramatic viewpoint.Alex C25/03/2023

From Ulva Ferry by bike to spot height 63m then directly up to Beinn Chreagach. Back to bike then on to Gometra to climb highest point from the south. Back by bike.Winterfloodian02/05/2022
From Ulva Ferry, Mull. 14 km, 520 m asc. From The Boathouse follow the signed South Side track. At [NM 42310 39060] (about 150 m beyond the Standing Stone) a wooden sign points N to Summit. Leave the track and head NW alongside the new forest plantation fence and then continuing between this fence and a stone wall. At [NM 41200 40000], leave the wall, cross the little burn and pick a route around and over the crags and humps (NW and then W) and up the summit trig point of Beinn Chreagach. Return same way to the South Side track. To The Boathouse by the signed Livingstone Walk along the southern coast. Dry, still and clear weather. Boots dry but I'd expect this not to be the case after rain! Potted crab, tea and cakes at The Boathouse - lovely. https://www.flickr.com/photos/samandjo/albums/72177720298626985SalmonJoe26/04/2022

Very pleasant going high up but descent to Ormaig was another encounter with the bracken. Wind got up so no continuation to Little Colonsayfasgadh03/08/2021

A morning walk after a night at Bearnus bothy (AirBnB). Wet and misty but still a good walk. Up the good track to the sheep fank with caravan, a little pushing through wet willow herb to start. Right on an ATV track which runs out above the stream, then up the fence through OK tree plantings to find another ATV track along the rib between the stream and the wall. To a locked gate and stile, track continues beyond, then off piste to the lochan at the bealach, NE up easiest slope then S on grassy shelf below crags to an old heather covered turf wall running over a bealach below pt 284 and down to the dip before the easy climb to Beinn Chreagach. Easy navigation up to and across the summit plateau to the top. Turf wall is a great landmark for the return. Followed the ATV track right down almost to the sheepfold but a thick wall of bracken near the first ATV track forces you E towards a small stream which is easy enough down to the main track.Gill11/06/2021

Round of Ulva HP and Gometra HP from ferry. Cycled up main track to a short distance west of bothy then turned SE onto an ATV track through a new plantation. This track becomes faint but can be followed all the way up to 240m col. Main track is bumpy and poorly drained with much local up and down.Topographer5730/09/2019

Visiting Ulva with mum and dad, although they did not come up the hill with me, preferring to stick to the waymarked paths.Grinner09/05/2018
With Kevin and Fraser. Ferryman kindly made special out of hours return crossing in view of our cumulative ages.lordtonult07/05/2018
Following Gometra using track/bike. Just 100m before the Bothy found a track up the hill in recently planted native woodland. Takes you high then it joins a path next to an old wall to the Coll. Short trip over to the summit and back. Time enough for both and afternoon Langustines tea in the Ferry Boat cafe.N.Morters19/04/2018

Bikes were useful, though not easy on the rough track. Plenty of time for both hills between first and last ferry.jenx22/08/2016

From ferry (10:30) took north road along island to nearest point to summit then through waist-high damp bracken & steep heather across 2 fences. Thereafter easier over grass between crags to trig. Dry but very hazy; cloud on top. Back same route;finish 13:35. A waymarked route over both summits is advertised but didn't try this.dbb10/06/2016

Ascended from 'South Side' track via pt 204. Very thick heather and bracken in places; recommend ascending outside of summer months. Incredible views back to Mull, surrounding Islands including Rum from the summit. Descended to 'North Side' track in order to return. This would be an easier, but less interesting ascent although two rings of deer fence prtecting new plantations should ideally be avoided.raffemeister04/08/2014
