Parked near the private road on the road to the quarry and walked up just behind a couple of dog walkers. A trip around Brownmuir, Lochlands and Cuff Hills with a slight dusting of snow, poor visibility on Lochlands and some rain on the way back to the car. | Buck | 16/01/2024 |
Straight up to the trig then along to hear | Andrew Simmons | 26/11/2023 |
A pleasant round of Brownmuir, Lochlands and Cuff Hills in an unsuccesful attempt to find the rocking stone. All this made possible by the X36 from/to Buchanan St bus station. | lordtonult | 21/11/2022 |
Previously visited trig, This time up from a ruin to the north (bike parked in wee quarry) Wet underfoot in places. Caused great amusement to the heifers across the road. Then on to Lochwinnoch and Kenmure Hill | fasgadh | 17/09/2022 |
Second visit, ground just as churned up by cattle as on my first. I added the trig this time to be sure | Colin Crawford | 07/07/2022 |
From N via the trig first. Fairly easy going through cow fields. | sclater | 04/10/2021 |
Parking at KLG reservoir to N is blocked off now but room for 1-2 cars at start of blocked forest track at 388556. Over gate/fence west of new forest at 380556. | 49pp | 02/06/2021 |
Local walk, bike and hike from the house, lochlands hill, cuff hill, brownmuir hill. | robertphillips | 08/04/2020 |
After Brownmuir. SW to Lowhouse and then up awful ankle deep muddy field, then back down it and back anti clockwise to Lochwinnoch train station. Dire. | Thearlaichdubh | 26/11/2017 |
2nd and final top of the day in glorious sunshine. From Lochwinnoch station I Climbed up to Brownmuir hill (dropping large rucksack off in woodland in Auchengrange estate en-route) got stuck in the marsh (thigh deep) next to small loch But skirted this next to woodland and then used minor road before heading upto summit in a bearing. Top frequented by cows But thankfully They moooved aside. I made the highest point to be just south of the small pool. On descent I Climbed the deer fence to then explore the 'Rocking stone'. It is situated in a small copse of trees in a newly planted area of conifer woodland.Descent down to road then trees skirting the reservoir then another wild route through the trees to gain minor road bringing me back to Auchengrange estate to collect my bag. | Dazingdale | 17/09/2016 |
with renee after work up from the minor road. | robertphillips | 04/06/2015 |
Might have been here 26 yrs ago when visiting Lochlands Trig & Rocking Stone, but unsure. I made top just N of pond. | agentmancuso | 02/01/2015 |
P at Kirkleegreen Res. Don't go through gate into field surrounded by deer fence. The track at the top is blocked off. So W along the road, through 2 gates on very muddy and wet ground. Top seems to be on the S side of pond. | chrisbien | 24/12/2014 |

My notes say possible alternative top around NS381551 (had no GPS to check). Glimpse of Ben Lomond despite gloomy weather. | campagvelocet | 10/01/2008 |
