Tenth and last hill today on an epic alternative Southern Upland Way route linking the hills from Castle Kennedy to Bargrennan and visiting Craig Fell, Cruise
Black Fell, Gleniron Fell, Bught Fell,Larig Fell, Drumpail Fell, Balmurrie & Artfield Fell and then Eldrig Fell, back onto the SU way at Tannielaggie about 2miles west of Knowe. The Southern Upland Way passes the summit. Loch Ochiltree looked magnificent with the sun setting on it. Light was fading so full concentration was required to follow the waymarkers, arriving at the House of the Hill hotel in Bargrennan at 21.20. A great small hill ringed by bigger mountains. | Dazingdale | 07/05/2015 |
