Beinn Mheadhoin horseshoe from Kingairloch as described in SMC Grahams guidebook.davidpettit8431/12/2023
Out and back route from the parking spot at NM856525nathan7925/11/2023
There is a CP at NM 8371 5351 but this has been blocked with large boulders (as has a parking space at NM 8340 5375) but there is room for one car at the gate, off road. There is also room to park at NM 8358 5318 but not sure of access point (possibly NM 8563 5254). Once thru' felled forest (hard going) many good deer trods help towards Sgurr Shalachain. On to Meall na Greine, the Graham, Beul Choire nan Each, Sgurr a'Bhuic. Advise stay on the ridge and descend its northern end as the hydro track along the Allt na Carraige is very rough and hard goingcarole engel18/08/2023
Parked at the B8043 CP marked with a Blue Footprint above a Hydro Power Station. A couple of hundred metres NW is a muddy path from the road to the Power Station below and the bridge over the river. A road leads all the way to a smaller hydro-turbine building at the bottom of Allt na Carriage, from where a track leads up the glen alongside the burn. Once at the end of the track it is a straightforward ascent onto the NE flank of Sgurr a' Bhuic, where it and its NE Top give fab views over Loch Linnhe. We also visited all the likely high pints of its W Top, but it seems that the top of the hill has been hacked off by the quarry workers. A wander along the highest quarry road aids access if not aesthetics to Beul Choire nan Each. Beinn Mheadhoin was next, followed by Meall na Greine. Bit of a detour to Meall a' Chaorainn Loch Uisge, and then a contouring exercise to finish with Sgurr Shalachain. Its ENE flank provides a relatively easy descent route, eventually onto a track back down to tsummitter26/02/2023

Similar route to dickscroop, start from Loch Uisge dam. To descend, retrace steps to Bealach a' Choire Bain then down one side of a spectacular granite gorge into Coire Ban, a really pleasant route and I found a slowworm. Bit of a drag having to walk back up road to dam ...Invicta1414/05/2022
Fromm Loch Uisge dam car park initially along track and then, on generally easy going over Meall na Greine, Beinn Mheadoin and on to Beul Choire nan Each. Doubled back a short way from top then down, initially steeply, north to the old mill and good track/road and path back to the B8043 and back to car/tent.dickscroop31/03/2022
A TWO Marilyn Day - First Beinn nam Beathrach from col on the A884 Lochaline Road - ATV track to Masts then straightforward ascent to the summit - Bit of an explore before dropping to Achagavel (house) then back up its access road to the road. - Then short drive along the A884 / B8043 to Loch Uisge. Over the dam then ATV track rises with Allt Ruadh. Contour south and west around Meall a Chaorainn Loch Uisge to pick up old boundary line - Enough posts remain to take us to the summit of Marilyn No.2 - Beinn Mheadhoin. Similar route to descendbriandavies27/04/2021
Up the east ridge, steep but enjoyable. The step below the summit was fun... easy but dangerously loose. Decided I was not going down that way. Continued past the quarry and did a circuit of the ridge. Quarry worth seeing. Outdid my range and limped down the rough stalkers path at the end. A very good hill with an old pre Munro boom feel about it.fasgadh20/09/2020
Ignored SMC Grahams book routes and walked into Coire nan Each and onto low point on ridge then over tops from there. Down by NE ridge.dave g12/08/2020

Up the ridiculous SMC route, only to find, when driving past afterwards, that the main track goes to a mast and would take you much more easily to Sgurr Shalachain. Over SS and on to Beinn Mheadhoin in strength sapping heat, forcing a funereal pace in order to avoid one. No-one in their right mind would continue to Meall an Doire Dhuibh as per the SMC, past the noise and dust of the hideous quarry. Instead, the direct descent from BM is excellent, a little easy scrambling, a nice ridge and a sportingly steep descent at the end. Drought made it all very easy.Gill01/06/2018
Was planning to carry on round the horseshoe, past the superquarry, but weather was rubbish, so came off the east ridge. That was interesting. You can't tell from the map, but just off the summit, it becomes a knife edge & drops very steeply for 50 metres. North side was banked out with snow, so had to use the ridge as a handrail & kick steps.ngthack09/04/2018
Parked by shore of Loch a'Choire (parking spot just beyond restaurant). Sgurr Shalachain, Meall na Greine (both tops), Beinn Mheadhoin, Beul Choire nan Each, Sgurr a' Bhuic, Sgurr a' Bhuic NE Top. Bright day with snow on tops.RobertP05/04/2018
Great day doing the circuit round Sgurr Shalachain, Beinn Mheadhoin and down the Meall an Doire Dhuibh. When you find the stalker's path, stay on it, otherwise it gets to be really hard descending!IanHHill26/05/2017

Started and finished at NM834537; room for parking behind large rocks placed on edge of road without blocking access. With Mike. Crossed stile and smashed through felled forestry for 150m to reach open hillside of Sgurr Shalachain. Followed ridge to summit. Descended past Glen Sanda quarry and Meall an Doire Dhuibh. If I were to repeat this walk I would descend via Sgurr a Bhuic which looks like a nicer ridge.raffemeister14/04/2016

Ascended from the car park at Loch Uisge and over Meall na Greine. A much better hill than I expected with good views over Loch Linnhe and little evidence of the quarry from the summit.JohnW26/04/2012

from Greine. Fence posts guided me down to a bealach. Golden plovers. A last pull up to the west top. 12.10. Down across a dip by a lochan and up to the top at 12.10. Noise drifted over from Glensanda quarry. Fourth and last Marilyn with this name. Cuckoo heard and then seen on descent. 5 hrs.arranc22/05/2010
