Logged Descriptions  (logged by 15 users)ByDate of Ascent
Followed broad ridge from Home Law. Easy fence into the new forestry near the hill, and straight forward ascent with no trees in the way. Plenty of Sitka about in bags, so more trees will be planted soon. Liked the sharp summit. Returned to B711 via the new forestry track which is very soft and muddy north of Cacra Law.fasgadh23/02/2023
Parked start of track N side cattle grid (NT 3184 1631). Through unlocked deer gate, followed new forest road, which has been considerably extended beyond its mapped 600m, to Cacra Hill. From there took a semi-circular route to here crossing both 466m spot heights with a sort of stile in the deer fence between them at NT 3244 1731. On to Wedder Lairs -> Home Law and return for a very wet 11.5km round.jonglew19/10/2021
Parked at NT318164 Over Stand Knowe then onto Stanhope Law. Back to the car using the new forestry road.Andrew Simmons17/07/2021
From WL. SW to QTB to Star Knows. Burnie Knows. Contoured Stand Knowe on E side then up to SL top. Back down and up track till SW of SK then across S side of SK to meet way up.chrisbien23/04/2021
From Cacra Hill via Stand Knowe (which has a much larger summit than both its neighbours), then back down to Cacrabank. Pleasant horseshoe being ruined by the bulldozed access tracks.summitter15/08/2019
Nice summit.Adrian20/01/2019
Cacra Hill, Stanhope Law, Wedder Lairs & Home Law from double track to S of Cacra. Pleasant summit, as is Stand Knowe.agentmancuso22/04/2017
After Home Law and Wedder Lairs, followed by Cacra Hill. Very blustery and sleetyColin Crawford29/02/2016
Started at Off road rock cutting between cattle grid and Dry Cleuch on B711 (NT 31819 16426). Called at Cacra Hill first, then sTUMP Stand Knowe before heading for Stanhope Law marked by a cairn. Continued descent alongside Cacra Burn rejoining B711 near new house not shown on map called Cacra Hope, resulting in a complete circuit of Cacra Hill.mntainman08/12/2015
