Along the wind farm track on foot, which now has helpful signposts. No chance of driving up; there's ongoing logging and new construction just beginning, and trucks parked all over the track doing things. Quite a trudge on the track so it's a relief to get onto the hill track, I reckon 60 m after the bridge and fairly easy to spot. It has a hard surface under the vegetables and seems to have been mowed recently. The hill is quite shapely, steep and interesting. Good views.Gill11/05/2022
From Three Bridges. With Cruach Mhor South Top, Cruach Mhor, Garbh Achadh, Sron Reithe & Balantyre Hill.duchally17/01/2022
Repeat with Liz, route as Rick from the south, with bikes. 1 mile in, at the second right, go RIGHT. We didn't at first, track goes to some splendid new pylons - wrong way. Also atv track is about 100m beyond the bridge and hidden by the trees at the edge. 1st visit - From Archonnell, nice couple said ok to park in their farmyard. Good track, terrible ground beyond. Sunny spells, views a bit thin, cool.iangalbraith01/08/2020

As Nordicstar. Start of quad track is not very clear - a few hundred metres before wind farm gate.PGCE23/05/2019

From An Suidhe in the south then on to Cruach Mhor. Was misty on the top. Some useful windfarm roads to start then wet going. Surprisingly interesting scenery.Alan Moore13/02/2019
Cycled up tracks from A83 windfarm entrance west of Douglas Water, as far as 028086. From there, swampy breaks in the forestry can be followed up to open hill at Loch Mhic Dhiarmaid. A nice shapely hill with a shapely summit.Topographer5730/03/2018
From Garbh Achaidh. Route became much easier when mist lifted. Beautiful remote hill. Back to 3 bridges skirting N sides of Garbh Achaidh and Sron Reithe with intermittent 4wd tracks. Lovely walk.Thearlaichdubh27/08/2017
Windfarm road starts half a mile south of Claonaig. Bottom gate was open so drove up to where quad track starts. Parked and was met by friendly windfarm staff who said they'd turn a blind eye but warned me the bottom gate would be locked at 4pm. This gave me plenty of time. The quad track starts on the right of the burn and where it meets the open hillside you need to take a NW bearing to take you across boggy, undulating ground to the summit trig pt. Not normally a fan of windfarms but on this occasion I'm not complaining!AndrewFinnimore10/07/2017

From Three Bridges as part of a circuit with Cruach Mhor first. Easy going despite distance over the moorland in short grass, probably not one for low cloud. Trig point on a little rocky outcrop.N.Morters18/06/2016
Found a very good way up, though it does depend on sneaking up the wind farm road. Inspired!jenx12/04/2016
Used the wind turbine road from just past Claonairigh. Lockable entrance but not keep out signs. Up at 022083 just past a fork there is a proper gate for the wind farm that's well locked. The new route however takes a good quad track off the access road, parking in a lay by nearby, at GR0253508542. This winds through the trees heading to Lochan Long, ending at 0246909625, brilliant. Easy slopes to summit. There and back in just over an hour and half.nordicstar12/04/2016
round of cruach mhor and beinn bhreac from A819 track at three bridges anti clockwise.robertphillips19/04/2015
Cruach Mhor and Beinn Bhreac from Stronmagachan. Unexpectedly easy ground most of the way between the two. Returned along N side of plantation.mae29/04/2012
Ascended from Ardchonnell on a wet day. Fortunately the track continues further than map shows.JohnW09/04/2009

Park on forest ride by Loch Awe. On signed path through farm up on zig zags gaining height rapidly. Onto rough moor with a view ahead a lot of downs as well as ups, swamps, bogs, around tumps to pass between 2 lochans and a final mile on drier steeper ground to top ar 12.50. No cairn. Trig 5717.
