Biked up the forestry track from the bridge, 3 of 3robertphillips11/02/2023
Parked near Kirk Brae for long circular route. Took farm track to reach top of Broadfield Height. Continued with some traversing to reach steep climb to Breckonside Hill. Negotiated rough ground to reach approach to Big Hill from E. Returned to E and took track through felled forestry to join ridge and reach summit of Yadburgh Hill. On to Scaw'd Fell via steep descent and ascent. Descent to Garrogill and path climbing ENE to emerge to N of Ewelairs Hill. Continued to Ewelairs Hill, Ruegill Hill, Black Hill and rough ground on firebreak through to Laverhay Heights. Continued to Criffell and rough route through trees and then track to Fingland Fell. Descent W (some track, rough felled ground and then pasture) to reach the road and wealk back to start. Some rough ground on this route, particularly in forestry sectionsRobertP24/08/2022
Up from Breckonside >across the valley to NT130-033 to pick up break in trees and onto Big Hill > Retraced my steps back and up to Yadburgh hillAndrew Simmons09/04/2022
Dry Tussocky grass summit with no cairn but good views. From Yadburgh over boggy valley and then down across sheep pasture to Oakrigg. Cold for May with sleet showers and snow on surrounding hills.Denise 04/05/2021
From Yadburgh over rough pasture with a few quad tracks to aid progress. Fine views include Queensberry its upper slopes white with fresh snow. Feels cold for May.RichardM04/05/2021
Good parking near Kirk Brae church (NY 1309 9636). Through Leithenhall Farm to Broadfield Height. Followed fenceline N then contoured round Craig Fell at 300m to The Stack, then down and up onto Breckonside. On to Craig Fell (trig surface block) -> Big Hill -> Yadburgh Hill -> Scaw'd Fell -> Priestgill Head. Returned over Broken Back and down through Laverhay Farm.jonglew06/03/2021
Parked at side of wide track leading to Breconside, at 10549 01337. Walked past Breconside, and north to Cat Linn, then east up track until NE of Breckonside Hill. Snow on ground. Track very indistinct and hard going over rough ground. Then straight up the hill on a good track from there, heading SW. Descended the front of the hill, just north of Beldcraig Glen. Don’t miss exploring this tiny glen before leaving the area. Enter from the bottom end. Very narrow gorge with path - beautiful!Toby-and-Dion01/02/2021
Down from Glengap Head over Pinnacle Hill. Nice wee summit. Continued down to track & cut over from Breckonside Cottage to minor road back to car at Barnhill Bridge.agentmancuso25/09/2020
After Yadborough, easy to cross valley then ATV track over the top.Adrian06/07/2019
P start of track to Breconside. After that track there is a grassy track to within 10m of top. Lovely walk esp when the rain started when I was on my way home!chrisbien01/08/2018
