From Torrisdale Bay via Kintyre Way nd Forestry and Wind arm tracks. | Heather TS | 11/08/2023 |
Hired Electric MTB for the day for a few hills accessible from wind farm track. Ascended from west to trig and HP. | PeterD | 12/06/2023 |
Drove 40km of logging and wind farm roads for this and a few other hills. Parked to NW at NR 7484 3642. 1km up and down. Drove round to Bord Mor. | jonglew | 21/05/2023 |
8th and final top on a 30km+ circuit from near Arnicle continuing from Bord Mor and getting pretty tired at this point. Boggy ground did not help although the wind turbine track did and i followed this to the 360m contour before heading straight for the top. A long way back to Arnicle but I really enjoyed walking along the river valley that leads into Arnicle where i picked up a track that criss-crosses the burn. I made sure to avoid Arnicle by crossing the burn to the North of the Sheepfold to gain a track that took me to the farm where I had parked, passing a lone Highland Cow en-route. | Dazingdale | 15/05/2023 |
Spoke to a guy from the wind farm at the start on the A83. He said we could drive through the wind farm. We arrived at the control building after 8 miles and 45 minutes. He arrived immediately behind us and said we could continue beyond the gate. However, this would mean we had almost driven to the top so we parked before the gate and walked. As Carol Engel drove through access track to just before locked gate. Walked up windfarm track to highest point, then up ridge mainly on an ATV track, Returned same route. 3miles, 1hr 5 moving time. Then onto Sgreadain Hill. | JulieB | 21/04/2022 |
From Corrylach, biked to the highest turbine, poor atv track opposite this takes you up to the mast compound, and then a short stroll to the top. Pedalled twice on the way down! | iangalbraith | 24/01/2022 |
The headbanger's method, walking from Corrylach car park in drizzle and thick mist. The bit along Lussa Loch and through the forestry is nice; the plod along the wind farm track is tedious but easy. The walk to the top of the hill is nice, with only mossy proto-tussocks and very little bog. Best start and finish is by a wooden gate at a fenced area just after the last turbine, otherwise you are faced with a deep drainage ditch to cross, followed by a steep exit. The guys from the wind farm tell me that the view is excellent on a clear day, thanks, chaps! Note: one of the digger drivers told me that it's fine to drive up to the wind farm but I was well on the way by then. | Gill | 14/01/2022 |
From apparent end of public road at Forestry gate for Eas na Speireig, the cycled/pushed N along Kintyre Way past Lussa Loch to windfarm tracks through to a point roughly W of Beinn an Tuirc, completing a short climb up to summit, return same way, cycling/free-wheeling pretty much the whole way until a puncture near Corrylach, pushed the rest | kdbennett | 25/07/2021 |
From road end on Lussa Loch, last km drivable track to locked gate. Along wind farm roads to just below summit then short pull up grassy slope. Very hot and long plod. | N.Morters | 18/07/2021 |
From Lussa Loch, up via wind farms. Descended E to firebreak in forest, where there is a faint path which meets new forest track at 761363. Down here to meet track from Torrisdale, then Kintyre Way round to bottom of Bord Mor. | quadbarrel | 30/05/2021 |

Windfarm, great views. | DavieRuts | 20/10/2019 |
Excellent drive-able tracks - access point NR 6656 3347. Park lay-by NR 7454 3500 just before closed (but unlocked with padlock) gate. Combined with Sgreadan Hill, also Marilyn - parked NR 7356 3050. | carole engel | 31/03/2019 |

A pleasant Sunday afternoon drive to see the windmills. | Chris Peart | 01/07/2018 |
Weather fair. | MountainMac | 29/04/2018 |
6/6. Locked gate at 746 351. Can park at junction just before. | PGCE | 04/08/2017 |
Wrongly assumed the windfarm road was accessible from the single track road to Loch Lussa but there was a locked gate at Corrylach so had a long hike from there up to the summit and back. Later discovered windfarm road starts from the A83 just north of Bellochantuy. There is no locked gate or signs forbidding public use until you get to the first turbines. | AndrewFinnimore | 24/06/2017 |
Early morning foray. Made it up and back without any problems. Not a great hill. | jenx | 08/01/2016 |
from the south drove through wind farm, locked barrier was open today got to within 500m of top. | robertphillips | 29/08/2015 |
windfarm
Easy to combine with Cnoc Mor, due to clearance of forestry. On way down stay on main forest road till E end of forest and then there is a farm track to main road | Thearlaichdubh | 01/04/2013 |

On my Mull of Kintyre to Fraserburgh walk | BLACKHILL | 03/05/2007 |
Parked just before the end of tarred road west of Lussa Loch. Past 2 homesteads, gate at side of locked barrier, by loch to wind farm road, continuing with sign posts all the way to the top. First cuckoo. Through 2 gates to notice boards, warnings of ice and thunder, etc, under 3 turbines, left road over tussock, grass and moss to top at 13.00. column 8531. 5' pile of stones 100m S not obviously higher. | arranc | 30/04/2007 |
Revisit date. First date not recorded. | RHW | 13/10/2006 |
Drove 7.5 miles up bumpy tracks from Corputechan then parked at windfarm gate and legged their tracks. Rob would be proud. | Eddie | 04/12/2003 |
