With L on our 4 Tump circuit from Tony's house, linked by paths across the nature reserve from Blackford Hill. Inspiring to meet a grandma taking her young toddler grandson up the hill, stopping to look for minibeast with his magnifying glass. The smooth grass of the hilly golf course makes it a popular spot for sledging in snowy winters.Chris Pearson13/08/2019

With persistent east coast haar making the Pentlands less than attractive prospect and having business in Edinburgh I settled for a quick round of the Braid Hills after parking in Braid Hills Approach. Dull but warm with rather restricted views from the excellent viewpoint.Jubilado29/06/2018
