Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn, Beinn Tharsuinn & Beinn Lochain. Circuit from Lettermay with bolton.Dangerous Dave10/03/2024
see log for Cruach nam Miseag - parking at Lettermay and details of Cowal Way diversion. From parking, generally west (thru' properties to gate) and track on south side Lettermay Burn. Using CW diversion, onto good track north of Struth Burn to reach Curra Lochain. Steep climb up. On to Stob na Boine. Poor visibility - up SE side worked OK and returned same way, turning east and down via Coirein Rathaid. Creag Loisgte is a cliff face - took east side. Firebreak down to Corrow very rough - deep tussock grasscarole engel27/07/2023

Circuit of tops from Lettermay. Hard going underfoot and poor visibility. Not a great day tbh.thekirkie pirate14/04/2022
Started at Succothmore road end, Cowal way to high point then up to Beinn Lochain, which is a tedious trudge, though the summit is nice. This route allows Beinn Lagan to be bagged on the way back. Avoided all brash and new plantings, though anyone wanting these can find plenty up the Cam Allt and the N side of the hill. Instead, an old track starts at 126005-ish, where the cleared section to the E starts. Easy going all the way to Cam Allt where the path ends 123001-ish. Easy to go up through well-spaced old trees on a deer superhighway to 123002 then it's easy to the top. Used this way down; don't go directly up from track end as I did, it becomes worryingly steep.Gill26/05/2021
Lettermay > Curra Lochain > Beinn Lochain > Beinn Tharsuinn > Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn > Creag Loigste > Lettermay. Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn is a fine hill and well worth climbing even if it is no longer a Graham.Winterfloodian22/05/2021
To and from Corrow following the SMC route, with a couple of detours to take in satellite tops. Stop na Boine, Beinn Tharsuinn, Beinn Lochain, and its east satellite, Cruach na Cioba. A good round over interesting terrain. About 4.5 hours.summitter10/10/2020

Cruach na Cioba and Beinn Lochain from near end of public road to Succothmore on a rainy day. Followed Cowal Way then direct ascent to Cruach na Cioba, along the ridge to Beinn Lochain. Returned to col then descent back to the Cowal Way.RobertP20/12/2018
6 of 6: From Beinn Tharsuinn.ChrisR30/08/2018
On from Beinn Tharsuinn. Trying to find easiest line, I overshot the summit by 100 yards. Afterwards, I tried to be innovative and descended into Gleann Ban, which was slow going. I should have gone straight down the side as per SMC Guide!IanHHill18/05/2018
From Beinn Bheula. Found a steep but straightforward rake to the north of Creag a Bhuic, then east to the forest edge and north to the Curra Lochain outflow, a great spot. Then initially NNW up steep grassy slopes, then NE to the col SE of the summit. Scrambled up to the left, didn't much like it, came off a bit more north. Descended east then north east by the stream, tricky section about 500-400m, then alog the south west edge of the forestry, not nice. Then back to Corrow and Lochgoilhead.Owen B16/05/2018

Cowal way on map isn't as it is on the ground. Follow the way posts, not your map.ngthack09/05/2017
Solo walk with Holly and Lily. We followed Cowal Way from Lettermay to Curra Lochain then straight up hillside and back. Strong cold wind, dry, low cloud but sunshine on top. 4 hoursalexmaclennan03/01/2017
From Lettermay, up SE face per Dempster. Debris from recent fellings, long wet grass and crags all contributed in turn to make this an arduous and uncomfortable ascent with not enough daylight left for planned continuation to Cruach nam Miseag.Topographer5702/11/2016

Clockwise round from Lochgoilhead of Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn, Beinn Tharsuinn and Beinn Lochain. Diversion to take in plane crash / memorial.russell6119/03/2016
Path out east terrible alongside Curra Lochain (despite being waymarked as the Cowal Way) then much improved after end of lochan leading to new track network above Corrow.alda02/09/2015

From Lettermay the map not much use for forest roads.Steep ascent through brash to east top and then main one. Great mountain though.Martin R02/05/2014
From Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn. This is an awkward hill to get off, surrounded by steep cliffs and felled forest. We headed east to col avoiding crags then south to east end of lochan. A short section of felled forest then leads to ATV track at 16312 99636.Lionel Bidwell10/09/2013
W Jenx, from Lettermay, via Corrow and steep break in trees (now felled) to ridge. From Stob na Boine DF easy over Tharsuinn to Beinn Lochain. Steep down, through now felled trees & new tracks direct to Corrow. Great views!nordicstar29/04/2012
