Parked at Bwlch Penbarra car park (only £1.50 for the whole day). Firstly popped to the top of Foel Fenlli, before returning to the car to collect my rucksack for the longer journey north over Moel Famau, Moel Dywyll, Moel Llys-y-coed, then a big descent and ascent to Moel Arthur, and Moel Plas-yw. As no car to collect me, I had to walk south back along the ridge to Bwlch Panbarra. Mainly on Offa's Dyke trail with many people in glorious sunshine and a refreshing breeze. 21km with 1040m ascent in 6 hours.silveracorn_alan07/08/2022

On a fine Offa's Dyke Path walk from Llandyrnog to Ruthin. The worst of the climb was getting up Moel Llys-y-Coed from the Moel Arthur car park, after that the up and down in between seemed alright. The cairns on the summit hillocks are an obvious landmark, although not prehistoric examples. From here we headed on to Moel Famau.thesweetcheat12/09/2010
