Parked up at the Moel Arthur car park having previously found no spaces at the Gates area. Had to wait 5 mins for a car to depart and then another car departed and I had plenty of space. I climbed up steep slope SE not realising the constructed footpath was on the Western side of the fence and I climbed up the Eastern side however it was actually easier to go over fence with wooden slats to reach summit from this side. Summit is a subtle gently domed rise with another slightly lower rise to the North. There appears to be a standing stone and stone circle that lie just below to the East but these are not marked on the map. I headed North and descended steeply to track continuing to Moel Plas-yw.Dazingdale28/01/2024

With Rachel from Moel Arthur car park. Ascended to gate on path, W to Moel Arthur and then E to Moel Plas-yw. After descending to the car park on the PRoW we then climbed up and down Moel Llys-y-coed.JK21/08/2022
Parked at Bwlch Penbarra car park (only £1.50 for the whole day). Firstly popped to the top of Foel Fenlli, before returning to the car to collect my rucksack for the longer journey north over Moel Famau, Moel Dywyll, Moel Llys-y-coed, then a big descent and ascent to Moel Arthur, and Moel Plas-yw. As no car to collect me, I had to walk south back along the ridge to Bwlch Panbarra. Mainly on Offa's Dyke trail with many people in glorious sunshine and a refreshing breeze. 21km with 1040m ascent in 6 hours.silveracorn_alan07/08/2022

After visiting Moel Plas-yw and Moel Arthur on a claggy rainy afternoon. Walked up steep grassy hillside with Lindsey from the carpark at SJ 145 657 to the summit. Looked around the standing stones then walked down Offa's Dyke path.Skip19/12/2019

Along ridge from Moel Famau. Over hurdle in fence (a broken stile) in top corner of 3rd field on right as descent from ridge high point starts. Then cross on a very high hurdle at side of a big concrete water trough into the field with the summit in. Three grassy mounds of similar height. Furthest two overlook a stone circle.Nick Caunt01/04/2018

From Moel Arthur car park, an icy Offa's Dyke and an awkward gate crossing. Summit treats were a spectacular sunset, plus stone circle about 100m NE of summit with upright central stone.Aye Jimmy01/12/2017
