Cycled up track from Cluanach then round of BGF.Topographer5709/06/2019
It was snowing!petesimpson02/04/2019
From Claggain Bay. Used vehicle track to just beyond upper deer fence. Tiny cairn just after marks start of walkers path which goes all the way to the ridge if you concentrate!Crib Goch04/09/2018
From Claggain Bay I had been told the forestry track took me to the ridge but in the event it meandered around and gave up at 120m. From there grassy tracks easily followed to ridge. Further than it seems on map- total walk 12.2k.NormanW27/08/2018
From Glas Bheinn, a pleasant stroll, then got into a good rhythm up the steep grassy slope between scree and rocks to the summit. Unexpectedly met a dog walker at the top. Then a long plod along deer paths and ATV tracks north west to the car near Cattadale. Nearly impaled a dozy, coiled up adder with my walking pole.Owen B25/08/2018
On an 3 day Ardbeg to Port Askaig traverse.Chris Peart26/06/2018
Ninth hill of the day and getting weary now, having walked from Ardbeg. I had a long descent to Proaig bothy, not much enjoyed given the deep summer vegetationColin Crawford25/06/2018

Parked at Cluanach and walked to end of track. Crossed footbridge and headed up Beinn Bheiger. Headed north over Glas Bheinn and on to Sgorr nam Faoileann. Returned to track by contouring across rough ground. Followed advice of PGCE below and kept high to avoid worst of the boggy ground.wozzat10/05/2018
From Cluanach, to end of track. Then Beinn Bheigier, Glas Bheinn and Sgorr nam Faoileann. Returned to east end of track via a high level route and kept fairly dry feet.PGCE24/04/2018
First of three hills with George and Tom, staying in An Cladach.iangpark08/07/2017
Sgorr nam Faoileann, Glas Bheinn, Beinn Bheigier from bend in minor road to W between Barr and Cattadale. Return fairly directly over rough moorland. Drizzle / rain for much of route.RobertP03/04/2017
clockwise round of sgorr nam faoileann, glas bheinn, and beinn bheigier from near barr.robertphillips22/08/2015
With Alistair. Anne. Gill, Jennifer on nice but very windy day.tallblond18/07/2015
In from minor road at Ballygrant over Sgorr nam Faoileann, Glas Bheinn and Beinn Bheigier. Out via track to Cluanaich and road to Bridgend. Stunning bright blue skies - lovely set of hills.benalder28401/04/2015
Round of 3 Marilyns anticlockwise from Cluanach. Walked up private road to Kynagarry then track past forest and up glen (not driveable). At end of track crossed bridge up some nice short grass slopes and stony lines to gain ridge and along to final steep slopes to summit.AndrewFinnimore08/08/2014
From Ardtalla. Didn't find a path, just a slog over wet boggy tussocky ground. Didn't help that it rained all day and cloud so far down that viz was lost as soon as we gained any height. Planned on visiting Beinn Bhan also but knocked that on the head. Contoured round head of the valley where cloud lifted and presented a grand mountain view. Returned along Gleann Leora picking up a path that must have crossed the Glaggin River a dozen times or more - perhaps it was an aquatic deer trail! Bagged Cnoc Mor na Claigin before hitting the road 1km S of the car. Not our finest day despite bagging highest hill on Islay.jonglew07/06/2014
With Mora, from the road end at Claggain Bay.BLACKHILL01/04/2014
from Claggan, just followed the ridge up, lovely ridge and start of excellent traverse over 3 Marilyns and 1 HuMPThearlaichdubh24/06/2013
Fourth top today after Glas Bheinn. Mist began to clear after reaching the top then down to farm track and collected by Peter Milne for return to my car at Ardbeg Distillery which we left at 09:00 on a RIB.Dugswell210/06/2012
Final top with the RHB 12. From Glas Bheinn cut over Am Mam and lower col before steeply up gully line to emerge nr trig. Good celebration on top with greeting party. Mist clears to reveal. Coastline. Dropped down long ridge and rough ground to cars at Claggain Bay.nordicstar10/06/2012
At this stage we became 15. Bet that confused the local midges, who to bite first? And there was a view.Martin R10/06/2012
Mad Marhof party. RIB to Mc Arthur's head and up to Beinn na Caillich. To col S of Sgorr nam Faoileann and up grassy and screey slopes to its summit. Back to col and on to Glas Bheinn summit cairn. GPS readings of point about 100m NE of summit cairn show it to be more or less the same height. Finished a good bag with Beinn Bheigier and then down to road end above Claggain Bay.pwbellarby10/06/2012
Parked at road end S of Ardtalla - plenty of space. Took overgrown track to high on N flank of hill and then steeply up to ridge, then along to summit. Descent via Pt.456m and SE over trackless moor. A fine hill in remote country.Man of Kernow109/06/2012

Revisit. Fine summit, quartzite-strewn short-heather ridge. Mist, no view. Start of a week on Islay & Jura.RHW21/04/2007
Parked at Cluanach cross roads. On track beyond Kynagarry, to sturdy bridge over stream to path on south side, which disappeared quickly. Parallel with stream moving uphill for an hour or so, decided on straight forward route from W on a long shoulder. Straight up to top over white rock runs. A few deer sloped off on my approach. Plod to broad level shoulder on compass to final 300' tumps and to top at 12.40. No view - mist. First swallows of year.arranc01/05/2005
With Walk Islay. From Ardtalla to NW summit; then along ridge and down SE slopes.Skerryvore14/04/2005
