There are two possible summits: the NE summit is grassy sheep pasture and SW summit (Hillbagging summit) is in pathless woods with brambly understory. We parked to the NE at the road/ byway junction SH 816772. We then struggled uphill through pathless woodland with bramble and fallen trees in a generally west direction, across the NE summit in sheep pasture and then SW to the SW summit. Possibly better done at this time of year before the undergrowth is too thick. There was a layby at SH814776 to the NE on the A547 which might help? | Denise | 03/03/2023 |
As Aye Jimmy. From pull-in at SH 8157 7719, over fence opposite (no bw), turned left alongside fence to gateway & then up over pasture to high point of fence where bw missing - WSW to the NE Top - Dropped down to fence & up through trees & bluebells to summit. | gerrybowes | 02/05/2022 |
Local parking very difficult - only spot alongside Ty Newydd - SH 8123 7668. Asked permission to walk to top at Cilglassyn - readily given as long as there and straight back and close all gates - no problem, thanks. | carole engel | 19/11/2018 |
Parked to ENE at SH 8158.7723. Over fence next to enormous tree into field, steeply up to first knoll with gorse. Down, across and up overgrown woodland to other summit. Reading taken near twin trees. | Aye Jimmy | 01/07/2018 |
From E. NE summit, gorsy grass at edge of shallow depression, could be higher than SE summit in nice oakwood. My final Conway tump - pleasant spot to complete, on a springlike Feb Sunday | RHW | 19/02/2017 |
