With RobN and Luna. CW Loop over tops. From Glenloig CP NR 94604 35048.masmith14/07/2023
Ascent route as Denise and Richard and returned by the same route as concerned about bracken on the north ridge. Pleasant summit, superb views and a merlin flashed by.Chris Peart12/07/2023
Last HuMP on Arran. Climbed up the western slopes from near the quarry on the String road. Bracken and heather now getting quite long and that will make that route harder from now on this year. Having had the hill clear it was quite satisfying seeing the mist descend down the hill as I waited for the bus at Ballymichael.Kiltie22/06/2022

Brutal up long tussocky grass and heather from bus stop at Glaister Bridge. Better starting further south or Glen Loig. On to Beinn Bhreac.Thearlaichdubh05/11/2019
From A'Chruach, then on to Beinn Breac. Straightforward going.Alan Moore11/05/2019

Bit of a slog, third one of the circuit and I'm going to miss the 16.09 bus back up the hill to my carvegibagger23/11/2017
Last of 3 Highland Fives after parking at Glenloig bridge: A'Churach, Beinn Bhreac, then here. Continuous rain all day, windy, rough and wet ground - a day far better suited to tiddlywinks by the fire.jonglew21/11/2017
White trig within wind shelter and wide- based cairn nearby. Highpoint is outcropping rock to N of wind shelter. Superb views of mountains, sea and islands. Approached from small car park at Glen Loig to the N, then followed boggy forest path SE on east side of Glen Craigag, easily crossed stream on boulders, before ascending steeply south west up pathless, knee -high heather to pt 335 m on plateau ( Creag Dhubh). Then easy walk to summit. Descended directly to carpark- rough steep ground.Denise 19/11/2017
Forest path along NE side of Glen Craigag then steeply up through deep heather to Creag Dhubh and easier going over heather/grass moorland to summit. Good views of Kintyre include Davaar Island and Carradale Point. Ailsa Craig also visible in the greyness.RichardM19/11/2017

4th hill of 8 today on a route from High Dougarie back to Brodick climbing Beinn Lochain, Cnoc a 'Choire moir and after an unintended detour to Garb Thorr, descending into a field through rough pasture onto a track and over a bridge over the Garrb Allt and onto the String road where i had my packed lunch. Ascended next to a burn and slogged my way upto the summit. Hard-going and becoming increasingly windy.Dazingdale07/05/2016
From high point on road. Steep climbing then soggy ground cutting across to and contouring to A'Chruach. Around then over the Breac to Ard Bheinn. Down direct to road and a hitch up the road back to car.nordicstar19/04/2016
After the Marilyn, and then down to the road. Nice birch woods down by the river easy to get through, and probably better than forestry on the other side.jenx19/04/2016
With Ian Brown. Bumped into Jon Metcalf and Alan Dawson who had been measuring the top of the hump and were on their way to the coltallblond18/04/2016

As a circular route starting with the Marilyn A'Chruach, from the forestry car park at the high point of the String road. Up forest ride through conifer forestry in Glen Craigag to A'Chruach, then over Creagan Liatha, bypassing Beinn Bhreac to the north, and up Ard Bheinn - found a quad bike track halfway up that made the rest of the ascent easy. The trig point is inside a stone shelter & has recently been repainted - looks rather "2001 - A Space Odyssey"! Also a big cairn which I think is the true summit. Good viewpoint.milngavie_kenny08/11/2012
