Driving back down the rutted track from the little car park next to the farm the water tank on the bottom of my motorhome was wrenched off. Oops.Martin R12/12/2023

From the RoW gate at Carreg: a slight descent on RoW to get onto access land then up to the lookout tower, back to the RoW. The we walked along the coast path and enjoyed a good view of Porth Oer- just 2 men and a dog on the sands today, though there were about a dozen people seen walking in this area on this sunny out of season Tuesday. Made a good little (1h) walk, with Pete.pwheeler15/03/2022
On a trail run from Porth Oer. It is possible to get over the fence at the point where the RoW is shown on the OS map, but as mentioned previously it appears this footpath has been moved to the field to the SW.Wheelsy26/06/2021

Visited from the Whistling Sands NT car park, starting along the Coast Path and returning by the lane. Note that access to the hill from the coast is not as shown on OS maps. The path actually starts at SH15872914, following a different fence line from that shown. Access to the NT car park at Carreg itself is along a deeply rutted and soft track - not recommended!David Purchase21/09/2016
From car park/picnic area. Short walk through herd of steers to a substantial circular stone enclosure at summit, which is marked as a landmark (with an old trig next to it) on all old maps until 1980 when it suddenly become a lookout!jonglew21/08/2016

Short walk from car park/picnic area up to shelter/viewpoint, good coastal views, surprisingly warm & dry but very breezy.apricorum26/02/2014
Large National Trust car park at SH 16641 29473. Included hill with two mile pleasant family coastal walk. Down to Whistling Sands - along coast to Dinas Bach (tide was out so we climbed it) then back inland on public footpath with short detour to climb Mynydd Carreg. Back to car park along short stretch of road.David Gradwell23/07/2011
