From Pen y Garn to track junction to east and directly through maturing pines to top. I like a challenge but that was ridiculous; better follow route of others though that too may become problematical in due course. | lordtonult | 20/09/2021 |
Followed the fence line marked on 1:25 map from forest track to traverse hill SE to NW. No fence seen, but apparently a slightly overgrown firebreak, much easier than dense pine. Small clearing at summit with moss and heather. | Denise | 08/10/2020 |
Approached from the forest road to SE then up wide fire break to ridge and MTB trail. There may be something slightly higher in the dense young pines to the NE where OS spot height is mapped but we content ourselves with the heathery mound in the fire break.(SN 77708 76832) | RichardM | 08/10/2020 |
from arch antons route in trees thick prickly now on to pwn y garn with Manon | underhill | 11/07/2020 |
Approached from the E on the bridleway/ track. 10m before the 'layby' a fire break on the RHS concealed behind two gnarly dwarf oaks. Straight to the top where we met a good path which we found left the main track at 77616 76610. | Moorponder | 17/07/2019 |
Marktrengrove route spot on. Then on to Banc Dolwen, across to Llechwedd Tyn y Maes and finally Pen Bodcoll. 12.93m 4h35. | clivevilla | 07/02/2017 |

Parked in The Arch car park (SN 76557 75613. Took the forest road north-east, and followed Anton's route. This was a bit prickly, and not needed. A made path leaves the forest road further west at SN 77616 76619 and passes close to the summit before heading down north to join another mountain road. We used this for the descent. With MP on survey. Continued on to Pen y Garn. | Man of Kernow1 | 31/08/2014 |
From Track junction SN778768, North on track for about 20mtrs then left through trees to gain top, young trees near top making it easy.
