Delicious evening hike up having parked up in the shade at the start for an hours kip first. Another guy and his very young rather shy 'daddies boy' border collie started up hill at same time with bug pack to camp on the summit. My first Square boxy Lossiemouth style trig. 11090. Absolutely beautiful on top and still no midges though plenty of annoying ordinary flies tempted by the sweat pouring of me on the ascent. Bin of Cullen, to NW, tomorrow's hill, looked quite small and tame compared to this relatively high and impressive domevegibagger24/06/2023
From NJ 5474 5528.summitsup26/04/2023
Minto dropped me & Mntainman off at the end of the road, west of Swilebog. He went to climb a couple of hills nearby. Fairly steep walk up in the snow. Beautiful summit with great views.Dangerous Dave08/12/2022
Parked NJ 5474 5529. Briefly North along road then left onto path up hill.PeteF17/10/2022

Drove along lane of disintegrating tarmac past Swilebog, parked at NJ547552, then up to summit along track that starts 25m N or parking, return same waykdbennett02/10/2021
Along the path from the Swilebog road. Gorse in bloom and a summit view of rain close by to the south and blue sky over the coast.Nick Down102/05/2021

From corner of the road at 547552, where there is room to park several cars, via path directly to the summit.Winterfloodian18/08/2020
Nice wee 'on the way by' hill. Parking for 6 or 7 cars but only just got in - seems popular with local families.daviemore19/07/2020
Climbed many times from Swilebog path, notably one Hogmanay. This time parked 528542 and ascended through woods (a path not marked on map) and then up open hillside to summit. Return same waysarahk23/05/2020
My second hill of the day. After driving past Swilebog there is good parking just by the sharp right turn which is right by the path that leads all the way to the summit. The road is in quite poor condition however. Great views from the top.Peterb03/01/2020
From NJ547553, Swilebog. Small parking area at end of very narrow road with potholes and rough edges. No sign of the path at the CP but from the CP, go about 20 metres N, then grassy path will be seen heading off W. Upper part of original path now quite eroded, new path to the L is very slippery peat, in the wet - better to descend in the eroded groove than hit the deck multiple times.Isbjorn23/05/2019
Good parking at end of minor road past Swilebog GR548 553. Good path directly up hill to summit. Good viewpoint.JulieB11/05/2019
From parking area at end of minor potholed road at Swilebog - Follow track to right then a path goes straight up hill through trees / gorse / heather - Fabulous views from the summit on this bright sunny morning.briandavies10/05/2019
Solo trip. Quite a poignant memorial cairn to a young man by the summit, as well as the summit cairn and squat trig pillar.Invicta1420/08/2018
Climbed via track from Swilebog. Hot going, but refreshing breeze at top.mcbboyd20/07/2018
Easy parking by the bend above Swilebog, and an easy and very pleasant walk up the path. The main path is very worn out, but there's a new peaty path emerging alongside it, which is much easier. Splendid views all the way. My first Marilyn as a Scottish resident.Gill14/07/2018

Distinctive rounded heathery hill. P to E - very direct path to summit.ger19/04/2018
Parked at the T junction beyond Swilebog to the east. Easy path if a little peaty to summit. Unusual trig shape, more square/fat. Under 40minsN.Morters12/04/2018

From Swilebog. With Karen,Sam and Lauren.ChrisR03/09/2017
Walked up from Swilebog, the weather was pretty miserable and the path - well it was a slimy river, worse on the way down as the heather route also proved to be very slippy - I was on my *rse more than once. Sapphire did really well as the are some quite big jumps up on the way.thejackrustles26/08/2017
Straight up and down the trench from Swilebog wood. Enjoyed checking the accuracy of the points on the summit stone compass/clock.summitter17/04/2017
short, steep and boggygettingonabit19/03/2017
Ascended in the evening after business meeting in Keith. Parked at corner in road just beyond Swilebog and ascended via path marked on OS. Path very eroded.raffemeister02/08/2016
From Swilebog, line has become a drainage channel and today had frozen solid. Avoided in heather but took an hour to go up and return,nordicstar20/01/2016
More like an ice climb in places today! The path really needs rerouting.jenx20/01/2016
Weather fair with clag patches, snow on ground.MountainMac18/01/2016

Great short climb, first time even though I have lived in the area for years!NRGHGray02/06/2013
From sharp bend W of Swilebog. Well trodden path to summit, but rather muddy in parts. Medium sized cairn on the highest point some metres from the trig point. Also a much smaller cairn.pwbellarby02/10/2012
Parked at the bend of a minor road off the A95 (SSW of Gordonstown) at Swile Steading. Route is across fields and up a steep, short but well eroded and muddy track direct to the summit.sotabagger06/08/2012
