| Parked in lay by at top of road from Builthy to Halfway House. Walked along lane to se of hill and then onto fp ene end and up through gaps in the gorse. Great viewpoint. | Campbell Singer | 08/12/2023 |
| Stayed overnight in the Admiral Rodney pub CP (no charge, just buy a meal or some drinks). Up an adjacent track and ROW to Kempster's Hill, the final 100m or so being a clamber up a woodland bank. E to a gate and minor road, which led westwards past Bulthy and Belle Eisle Farm. Opposite the farm building is a ROW running between Bulthy Hill and Middletown Hill, turning westwards to the top of the latter. Onwards to Moel y Golfa, taking a route around a house along a footpath signed No Footpath! until reaching the official woodland path above The Dingle. A touch brackeny in places but a superb summit with a fascinating memorial to the Romany grandfather of Tyson Fury. Descended SW along a craggy path until eventually reaching a minor road heading back NE towards New Pieces. Just before the high point of the road ... 264m there is a ROW track up to and behind a barn conversion, from where it joins another ROW past pheasant pens to SW of the summit. | A quick drive-by from the road south of the hill to tick it off. Climbed a gate, crossed a field, over a hedge then up through gorse and bracken to the summit. Walked at dusk with Lindsey after a day on the Briedden Hills. | Skip | 13/01/2019 |
| A little trouble finding the paths that surrounds this Hill but eventually I found a probably private track from the South which was so beautiful, Full of bunnies and a gorgeous channel of Gorse with its powerful coconut aroma. Getting onto the peak involved Crossing some dodgy fences and I noticed cow pats everywhere which got me a bit nervous that there may be a herd somewhere in the field so I just walked over the summit and tried to find my way out of the field quickly. There were some very friendly horses nearby and the paths that head towards pritchards hill and the Admiral Rodney are truly beautiful and very picturesqueWalked around the whole Breidden range today, a long time goal. It was a wonderful day would (in sandals) so much variety including Rocky ascent, grassland, Forest, beautiful Gorse fields and the gorgeous country lanes. | After Middletown Hill, continued over Bulthy Hill and then down to NE. Followed dead-end road for a short time until a gate on the left led to a track through the gorse leading up the SW ridge of the hill. | If you park on the verge just before the farm at the end of the no through road to the east, you can climb over a gate, go briefly up a pasture and find a path that goes directly to the summit. I only found it on the way down so had some fern bashing to do. | clivevilla | 28/07/2016 |
