O: It is possible that the mound on which the trig point stands is artificial. If so, I have no idea where the natural highest point is.

Circular walk from Midgarth via West Hill, Ward of Bressay and Glebe.Winterfloodian07/06/2023
Walked up from Glebe. Just over an hour return - the track is steeper than it looks! Extensive views but too windy to hold camera still for decent pics.Crib Goch25/05/2023
Up track from Glebe, top in cloud, trig short distance from track.PeterD13/05/2023
From the ferry terminal, straight up and down the track to the top. Terrific views from the top despite the transmitter paraphanalia.the pigguy 10/09/2022

Following morning ferry up the mast track road. Down via the lighthouse visit. Fine dry day.N.Morters27/04/2022
Ferry from Lerwick. Approached hill from N along highest public road, almost to Pettifirth, before following a track SE. Higher up made a short detour to the summit of West Hill before regaining the track by an attractive ruined stone building. Pathless, but easy ascent to summit of Ward of Bressay, enjoyed the fine views before descending by the standard route back to the ferry.Rod M16/03/2022
Went over on passenger ferry, walked around road and up track to summit, then as per Cicerone guide, down SE ridge following the ridge over The Black Hill to the cliffs of The Ord, highest point. Magnificent scenery for lunch with loads of bird life in the cliffs. Turned west around the coast following the edge and then a fence down to the natural arch and lighthouse. Back along the road from the lighthouse. Very dry so peat across ridge was all very dry underfoot, imagine it could be not so pleasant after a wet spell. 9.1 miles 3hrs 37 walking time.JulieB22/06/2021
From Lerwick Ferry terminal along road and up to summit on good track. Descended south to Mills of the Ord, out to Bard Head, up east coast to Loch of Grimsetta, then up track to road back to ferry. 12.5 mile circuit. Good going along coast. KeithByTheC22/06/2021
Drove to the top of the track, just a few yards then to the summit. Glorious day.nicolajane27/07/2019

Drove up the track but feared for my exhaust pipe.Chris Peart07/06/2019
Parked at 493395 (7:40) and followed route of path on map (actually very faint) to join hill road and thence to trig point among masts on summit just at cloud base. Back same route; finish 8:40dbb06/06/2019
The track is rough - ish but driveable and turns into tarmac higher up. Splendid viewpoint down on to Lerwick.vegibagger27/05/2019
Whilst visiting the island to visit it’s lighthouse we drove up the track to the summit. Nissan Micra hire car with 3 adults on board managed to negotiate the potholes and central ruts to reach the tarmac section and get to the top. Got out of car to visit true high point. Nice views all around.assynt_bob02/11/2018
first up in 1977, been up 5 times will record trip visiting 150M tops. walked from ferry along road past Kirkabister then track past Daal Cottage, to Black Hill, Ward of Bressay, West hill, joined road at Pettifirth and waked road back to ferry.Neil Fraser28/09/2018
This one doesn't live up to the glories of Noss Head and Ander Hill, so we drove up in the hired Kia Picanto. All potholes and rough stuff is easily dodgeable. Scruffy summit, but good views if you continue on the concrete road to the east side of the summit.Gill19/08/2018
Drove up mast access track in hire car. Metalled road notin brillaint repair but all pot holes easiy avoided.jonglew19/08/2018
With trimarc2 from East Ham which, though quite direct, not as simple as way back from Glebe. Trig point at top. GFE and PJB watching us through binos at the South Lighthouse so lots of jumping and arm waving required at the top. Beautiful day.Fionalevey04/08/2018
Walked up from East Ham and back to Glebe. Great views. With Fionatrimarc204/08/2018

Ferry not running to Noss so we did this one instead. Parked at Glebe and walked to the light house. Followed coast east to the small lochs and then over The Black Hill to the trig and masts. Down access track (which the locals drive up) back to car. Another drenching!mindlessflogger21/08/2016
On a day trip to Bressay, without transport, I walked first to Hill of Setter, and then to Ward of Bressay trying to use the route from Pettifirth described in Graham Uney's book. Frankly, it would have been easier to go back to the road on the west coast, and up the access track (which is, of course, what I did on the return).David Purchase11/06/2016
Parked through first gate HU496402. Can drive all the way but need more ground clearance than I had. Sunny and mild.iangalbraith24/08/2014
Drove to the top in hire car! Sorry but it was pouring with rain! Exhaust etc somehow survived but I would strongly advise against driving up unless it's in a 4x4.AndrewFinnimore12/08/2014
Up and down on access track to masts.benalder28401/04/2014
With friend. From end of road at Pettifirth. Went SE to start with, using some tracks probably used by peat cutters. A bit rough in places so descended on access track to masts before crossing burn to get back to starting point.pwbellarby28/08/2013

W Jenx, midday ferry and then Noss island. After the lookout hill climbed this from track base. There is a paved road but need 4x4 to get up, deep pot holes. Nice trig and shelter, look to Lerwick and no aerials.nordicstar31/05/2013

Walked from Lerwick via the ferry and back with Lesley. Our 1st full day on our 1st trip to Shetland. Then moved out of our B & B which smelt of cigarette smoke into the lovely clean friendly YH which had plenty of rooms free despite us assuming it would be full at this time of year. Later enjoyed a walk to Tesco which had seals on the rocks by its car park!Chris Pearson25/05/2009
