Walked up from Glebe. Just over an hour return - the track is steeper than it looks! Extensive views but too windy to hold camera still for decent pics. | Crib Goch | 25/05/2023 |

Following morning ferry up the mast track road. Down via the lighthouse visit. Fine dry day. | N.Morters | 27/04/2022 |
Ferry from Lerwick. Approached hill from N along highest public road, almost to Pettifirth, before following a track SE. Higher up made a short detour to the summit of West Hill before regaining the track by an attractive ruined stone building. Pathless, but easy ascent to summit of Ward of Bressay, enjoyed the fine views before descending by the standard route back to the ferry. | Rod M | 16/03/2022 |

Went over on passenger ferry, walked around road and up track to summit, then as per Cicerone guide, down SE ridge following the ridge over The Black Hill to the cliffs of The Ord, highest point. Magnificent scenery for lunch with loads of bird life in the cliffs. Turned west around the coast following the edge and then a fence down to the natural arch and lighthouse. Back along the road from the lighthouse. Very dry so peat across ridge was all very dry underfoot, imagine it could be not so pleasant after a wet spell. 9.1 miles 3hrs 37 walking time. | JulieB | 22/06/2021 |
From Lerwick Ferry terminal along road and up to summit on good track. Descended south to Mills of the Ord, out to Bard Head, up east coast to Loch of Grimsetta, then up track to road back to ferry. 12.5 mile circuit. Good going along coast. | KeithByTheC | 22/06/2021 |

Parked at 493395 (7:40) and followed route of path on map (actually very faint) to join hill road and thence to trig point among masts on summit just at cloud base. Back same route; finish 8:40 | dbb | 06/06/2019 |
The track is rough - ish but driveable and turns into tarmac higher up. Splendid viewpoint down on to Lerwick. | vegibagger | 27/05/2019 |
Whilst visiting the island to visit it’s lighthouse we drove up the track to the summit. Nissan Micra hire car with 3 adults on board managed to negotiate the potholes and central ruts to reach the tarmac section and get to the top. Got out of car to visit true high point. Nice views all around. | assynt_bob | 02/11/2018 |
first up in 1977, been up 5 times will record trip visiting 150M tops. walked from ferry along road past Kirkabister then track past Daal Cottage, to Black Hill, Ward of Bressay, West hill, joined road at Pettifirth and waked road back to ferry. | Neil Fraser | 28/09/2018 |
This one doesn't live up to the glories of Noss Head and Ander Hill, so we drove up in the hired Kia Picanto. All potholes and rough stuff is easily dodgeable. Scruffy summit, but good views if you continue on the concrete road to the east side of the summit. | Gill | 19/08/2018 |
Drove up mast access track in hire car. Metalled road notin brillaint repair but all pot holes easiy avoided. | jonglew | 19/08/2018 |

With trimarc2 from East Ham which, though quite direct, not as simple as way back from Glebe. Trig point at top. GFE and PJB watching us through binos at the South Lighthouse so lots of jumping and arm waving required at the top. Beautiful day. | Fionalevey | 04/08/2018 |
Walked up from East Ham and back to Glebe. Great views. With Fiona | trimarc2 | 04/08/2018 |
