Route as clivevilla. It took a lot longer then expected because I met the farmer for a 45min chat. | DC11main | 25/08/2023 |
Parked at 20737 08983 by Marros Church, up track initially through caravan park then left round a big mobile home and up round north edge of woods. Summit GR is a few yards into a brackeny part of the forest which requires climbing a slightly awkward double bwf. | clivevilla | 01/07/2023 |
A hill that is called a mountain | freethehilltops | 09/04/2022 |
Fp not too clear. West summit is on edge of wood and involves scaling a double bwf. On return the same bwf seriously damaged my trousers. | Campbell Singer | 10/03/2022 |
Parked by the church in Marros and took rights of way towards the hill. The summit is not at the given grid reference, although there is an interesting stone circle there. The summit,I thought was in the trees and rough vegetation to the south of that point.Returned by the same route. Solo. | Sprog | 30/05/2019 |
W summit flattish hummocky head high bracken SN 19589 09701 S side of fence at 25k 158m spot height. E summit small 155co seems unlikely to be higher, not intervisible, needed visit to be sure of summit. Dustys route from sw, church. | RHW | 23/07/2016 |
Went to both the high point in the woodland and the alternative. | Adrian | 19/03/2016 |
Location given is not the highest point. I think the highest point is at SN20130950 within a high wire fenced area. Easy enough to access. If not other candidates would be a little way north of given location or a 100m east. I walked all over the area after parking at Marros Church. There is a sunken area containing a 'modern' stone circle at the given location. | Dusty | 18/05/2015 |
