4th of 6 on a 14-mile round from Glyntawe. From Disgwylfa and on to Tyle Garw. Nice remote feel about this area of the Becons; didn't see a single person all day.jonglew31/03/2017
From SN791128 and after first locating the remotest spot in Wales (as per Mapping Mountains/MP definition/specification).summitsup19/09/2016

Parked opposite derelict pub at SN 84880 17162. Crossed Afon Tawe by bridge and then took Brecon Beacons Way up the south ridge of Fan Hir, diverting west by sheeptracks to the waterfall at the head of Cwm Haffes. Skirting the marsh beyond, picked up bridleway over the Afon Giedd, then south by sheeptracks from Banwen Gwyn, down over the Gwys Fawr and up to north top. South top west of trig point seemed higher. Walk continued to Tyle Garw. With MP on a hot sunny day with stiff SW wind.Man of Kernow110/07/2014
