More or less the same route as @clivevilla. Footpath is directly opposite the layby so it's quite handy to get up onto the open ground reasonably quick. Wet, drizzly day but enjoyed it :)Gerry the Ranger09/03/2022
Parked in the layby at 00978 11912, up the fp opposite which soon becomes a track before emerging onto higher ground where there are various paths going the right direction to the top of Garn Ddu. From there pretty much straight across to Cefn-Cil Sanws with not much path on offer. Descended to the road for a mile walk along the A470. 4.5m 1h 45.clivevilla21/06/2021

From layby on A470. Wet and windy morning and boggy underfoot after overnight rain. Was going onto Cefn Cil-Sanws until disappearing down a water-filled peat hole! Headed back to the car to clean up / dry out before driving round!jonglew08/09/2016
