| Second hill on a long horsehoe above Bargod Taf valley. From Merthyr Vale station, up via Mynydd y Capel/Cefn Merthyr. Along the rige, taking in a fine selection of quite obscure Bronze Age cairns along the route. Great views on a lovely day. From here I carried on north all the way down to the minor road, then an unpleasant interlude along the quarry road east (wasn't expecting it to be so busy) before climbing Mynydd Fochriw and up to Pen Garnbugail and Gelligaer Common. | thesweetcheat | 26/03/2022 |

| North top has a survey pillar on it (probably coal related). Spot height to south also visited. Walked from north along farm track which is drivable.
