Asked and was given willing permission to park at the kennels. Freed a daft sheep who had got wedged between two cattle feeders in an attempt to get to it's tiny lamb. All it needed was to discover it had a reverse gear. Steep climb up through forest. Good viewpoint.Campbell Singer03/04/2018
Parked at kennels. Nobody to ask but I saw the lady when I came down and she was friendly. Up the track through the farm and just kept taking the upward option and then rightwards.1.88 miles 45mins.clivevilla14/03/2018
Arrived at Mountain Ash by train. Didn't choose the most sensible way up as I wen't NE up past the cemetary and onto the adjacent hill as it was tricky to cross the ravine. Eventually got to a col then headed south and down through the woods to the trig point. After also visiting a nearby tricky geocache I came down a more sensible route and ended up by the cattery and then down to the station.Father Ted16/12/2017
I walked over this hill when I led a walk for the South Wales LDWA Group.morgs4mountains22/10/2017

Parked below Kennels, up on BW and then forest tracks to top. trig not surrounded by trees at the moment with good views to BB's in one direction and England in the other. Brambles prevented any short cuts on MTB tracks. My last Merthyr top.PeterD31/07/2016
