A lovely hill in a remote area. Parked at the entrance to Church Hill Farm. Followed the RoW to the holiday cottages. These were deserted in August but perhaps it was Handover Day? Easily up through the pastures, disturbing a small herd of roe deer.Rob Rees19/08/2023
Parked at the Church, paths and grassy field to summit woodland.Minto07/07/2023

First of four from Redbrook. Walked up lanes and ROW across pasture to enter Troypark Wood at SO 51525 10343. An unmarked but fairly well-used path keeps just below the ridgeline, I took a right and then easily left along old wall towards summit. A bit less bracken would have been nice but found the top easily enough. On to Meend.milimana23/06/2022
Walked from Monmouth via the footpath through Troy farm. I got the impression that this footpath is not used much, the farmer has placed electric fence to keep the deer out and this was just in front of the stile on a public footpath.hodder14/06/2022
Relaxed stroll after a few hours in Monmouth. Nice & tranquil woodland so stayed for a picnic lunch. Also spotted 7 x Fallow Deer at the top.Gerry the Ranger06/06/2021
