Hills to the north golden in the evening sun. The Cheviot starting to cloud over. | Wycombe Wanderer | 11/05/2023 |
From Burdhopecrag (NY 8181 9896) drove the MoD road to within 100m of the summit. All quite on the range today, snowy roads though. Drove on to bag Highspoon Hill exiting the MoD roads at Potts Durtrees (NY 8738 9750). | jonglew | 27/12/2022 |

Revisited in passing, with Lucy Feltham ( http://alphabetbritain.com/ ). | RHW | 08/11/2014 |
Bagged with Phil Cooper after Thirl Moor on a non firing day. Roads closed tomorrow for the Keith Knox Cheviot Rally http://www.cheviotstages.org.uk/ - so that's another thing to look out for which might affect access to this military area. | Dugswell2 | 08/11/2014 |
From road across Otterburn Ranges - no red flags today. Easy one close to road with minimal ascent. Nice top with extensive views. | Crib Goch | 23/03/2014 |
This is a drive-by summit (almost) assuming that the firing ranges are open. Ignore the timings given on the MOD site and ring the contact number up first. They were supposedly closed on the day of my visit but the red flags were not flying. Told by the contact number that it was ok to drive over them.

Is this the only summit that has a portable loo next to it (fully serviced and working)? | moorsman | 22/08/2013 |
Fine, sunny day and ranges open. Think it might have been Easter or just because it was lambing time. An easy drive by and a trig point. | Walker Dan | 24/04/2011 |
nice grassy summit, rock otcrops, good view, just outside MoD restricted area. tarmac road, OK to drive to summit if no red flag | RHW | 29/08/2004 |
