From the layby on the minor road, visited the area in the beech woodland on the way back. | robertphillips | 16/12/2023 |
7/7 Medley of small hills in a sunny afternoon. Final hill of the day, great for a summer evening's stroll. Parked in the small layby on the minor road. Then up road, and on the bridleway around the Coldrife house. Across the sheep pasture, making use of the gate in the one fence to be crossed. Visited HP, and returned by similar route. | silveracorn_alan | 30/05/2023 |
From east, short walk. Shocking to see devastated windfelled beech- presumably storm Arwen in Nov 21. Parked in layby in adjacent side road. | Denise | 05/03/2022 |
From the E over fields of pasture. Significant number of wind felled large beech trees in the band of woodland. High point by gate. | RichardM | 05/03/2022 |
Up from Coldrife and across grazed fields | Andrew Simmons | 24/01/2022 |
Room to park on verge of minor road just N of Coldrife. Take your pick route-wise across rough pasture. Gates in corners of fields so no fence climbing required. | JohnR | 13/08/2021 |
Parked on minor road off B6342. Start on bridleway just S of house. After a few yards, a stile on the right gets you out of the wooded area and heading WNW. Stile next to gate where grassy track enters summit field. | mae | 04/11/2020 |
From coldrife house along paths then through sheep pasture to earth bank by recently planted decidous woodland above old quarry. | cjo | 01/08/2020 |
Visited both summits, one closest to road seemed a similar height to the official summit. | Adrian | 22/01/2020 |
Park dirt lay-by on minor road NZ 0668 9481 | carole engel | 17/08/2019 |
Parking blocked off at the start of the paths to the east (Coldrife itself) but available at the start of the minor road just north (alt 233m). Don't try and follow the bridleway as it disappears into deep bracken and gorse at the end of the wood. Instead use the stile just after the house and pick up a feint path across the field to a waymarked ladder stile. From here a pasture walk across one field to the summit. About 30 minutes return if you use the path. Over an hours using the bridleay. | moorsman | 31/07/2019 |
From Coldrife, across field to HP near fence and gate, back via old HP | PeterD | 27/11/2018 |
W Bryher on a chilly November day, nice woodlands | nordicstar | 13/11/2017 |
Parked at Coldrife, followed f/p SW along narrow beech wood to a high point near pile of large boulders. Then through wood, skirted around quarry to new official HP near fence junction. | Aye Jimmy | 21/04/2016 |

Second attempt at this one - had bagged old summit, before it was relocated. Revised location seemed higher - high point near fence junctions - NZ 05852 94615 | Crib Goch | 16/01/2016 |
