1191027/01/2016NZ 07626 68690  F: Ground inside pine wood looking out to a concrete pillbox.
O: Ground at NZ 07662 68713 on wood side of pillbox looks as high but very rough grass tussocks and brambles may deceive.

Roadside verge parking due S (NZ 0765 6833). RoW until due W of summit, then a little tricky but not too bad to negotiate brambles/ditch/wall/pheasant fencing to gain the pleasant woodland for an easy walk up. Retracing steps for the return seemed as good as anything else.jonglew27/12/2022

From the road to S. Room to park a car by the gate. Along the footpath on the W side of the woodland. Half way up crossed over to the E side. Up through the field then over the wall into the woodland to the HP.JohnR15/01/2022
Horsley to Heddon-on-the-Wall walk visiting Horsley Hill, Harlow Hill, Turpin's Hill, Heddon Laws and Heddon Common.RobB08/10/2021
Parking for one car in the narrow lane due east. Through the cut grass paths in clay pigeon shoot to wood and short climb up through trees.Campbell Singer21/09/2021
Parking alongside the church or postbox in Harlow Hill village. Walk west, ignoring the first footpath sign as far as the end of the wood. Ignore the second sign and go through the adjacent gate. From a here a path leads all the way to the summit after climbing some steps. Don't go through the trees as they deteriorate into head high brambles.moorsman02/07/2021
Parked on track to east and went through ex quarry landscaped area which then involved a short scramble up to summit area in woods. WWII gun emplacement up there too. Went back round the edge of the field to avoid reverse scramble with my injured leg.clivevilla04/06/2021

Seemed like the spot in the pinewood to meColin Crawford09/08/2016
after Heddon Law, I wandered here, there and everywhere on this one! The best bit isn't the top but that hidden quarry.Lou10/07/2016

From S, end of narrow wood with f/p sign plus birdbox. Through wood to high point at N end. Then over to the pillbox outside. Thought ground inside the wood was maybe higher than long grass/brambly terrain near the pillbox. Night-time baggers beware - quarry face E of pillbox!Aye Jimmy27/01/2016
From B6318. I approached by the PRoW from the NW, and thought the high point was in the woodland. After climbing the wall I logged the highpoint as NZ 07633 68689, but it looked as though a point outside the wood to the NE may be higher. That was not accessible from the wood, so I returned to the B6318 and walked in from a minor road through the middle of the Harlow Hill complex. This brought me out on the east of the hill where there is a disused quarry. Entering that I found some convenient steps which brought me out to the high point I had seen earlier - adjacent to an old wartime pillbox - this proved to be a few metres higher than my first point in the wood. So I made the summit 07665 68709. A lot of effort for a nondescript top!Crib Goch07/08/2014
Detour off Hadrian's Wall Path. Logged both the high point in the woods and the pill box, thought the woods were possibly higher.welshyboyo04/05/2014

With friends from uni doing Hadrian's Wall. Camped at Harlow Hill farm at end of first day and nipped up this one in the evening. Difficulty getting to the top across a rough field.Mark Jackson17/07/2011
