Logged Descriptions  (logged by 25 users)ByDate of Ascent
Windthrow now cleared up, an easy ascent from the old A1. I failed here after Arwen.fasgadh19/08/2023
Woodland has been clear-felled leaving just a small patch on the summit.maknipe28/06/2022
From the NE. Also had a look at the tower. Impressed by the size of dressed stones used and the thickness of the walls.Andrew Simmons22/10/2021
From road to NE. Room to park at edge of wood. Followed track along edge of wood to the top. First 100m very overgrown but then very easy to top - this route avoids the bracken. Maybe try the first 100m in the adjacent field.JohnR08/08/2021
From the NE up through the woods.robertphillips25/01/2020
Stoned pull-in to the north of the trees but then it is far easier to walk back along the road to just before trees finish. Here you can pick up an intermittent track through the bracken as you ascend. 20 minutes round trip. 800m. The tower is virtually unreachable in the bracken season.moorsman30/07/2019

From roadside to NE, through woods to obvious high point overlooking tower. Progress easy as summer vegetation died downCrib Goch17/02/2019
Walked up from SSE to Heiferlaw Tower which was easy then through dense vegetation at back of tower and fence into wood to gain high point.Dugswell203/09/2017
From road to NE, through wood, dense ferns/bracken at moment, good tracks if you can see them. Ferny knoll in trees at summit overlooking old ruined tower.Aye Jimmy14/06/2016
