Logged Descriptions  (logged by 36 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked in wide entrance to reservoir, over right-hand field gate & up over pasture to high point.gerrybowes13/01/2024
Easy parking on access apron of the reservoir. A gate to navigate before the ascent. When you reach the reservoir boundary hop over into the field on the right and this leads you to the summit.moorsman19/04/2023

The reservoir has audio recording against intruders - wonder if it picked up my laboured wheezey post covid panting as I plodded past. Must have sounded like one of those police heavy breathing tapes! I could tell that the lady walking her dog in the access wood across the road was wary of me despite my croaky pleasantries althouh she seemd a nervy sort anyway as despite the welcome sunshine she complained that the wood was now too dark in places now that Spring was here and leafy greenery was sprouting. The topic of breathing properly is an important theme down to the N at the Capernwray Diving Centre -a 20m deep old quarry- in which underwater wreck attractions have been sunk for divers to explore incl. boats, planes, an old SAR helicopters, and 2 fibreglass racehorses from Blackpool Pleasure Beach!Chris Pearson17/05/2022
Up the field beside reservoir as others.nickywood124/07/2021
Parked almost opposite the access road to the reservoir. Took the open gate into the field next to the access road and followed the fence up the hill, this puts you on the right side of the fence for the summit. Icy Underfoot.Argentum6603/01/2021
Up the res track as a break from biking.Eddie07/10/2020
Parked opposite the reservoir road. Almost came a cropper on a thin film of ice over the concrete road up to the reservoir. Over gate into wood and the over bwf to top.Campbell Singer19/01/2020
From car park (SD 5478 7102), along metalled access track, then veered off due E at SD 5481 7098. B/W topped stock fencing to be negotiated to access sheep pasture. Completes Topo Region Q05 and River Kent catchment Area.jonglew04/12/2019
10.00 parked in entrance to reservoir Road... Very soggy clockwise circuit of the summit trees. Not surprising given continuous overrunnight rain.vegibagger28/11/2019

From S, over gate and up field to rounded grassy shoulder overlooking water works. Shoulder continues into wood, had look, nothing seemed higher and ground started to descend after wooden chalet.Aye Jimmy13/10/2014
