An entertaining landing in swell-heavy seas. Top marks to Ian for landing us and Alan for putting up a safety rope for the subsequent scramble. After that it was a steep plod under an azure sky, hot sun and frisky wind to the top. Ever better views as we gained height and lost clothing. | summitter | 08/09/2023 |

great day out with some fine company, good landing, scramble up dry rock, up steep grass to the top. | robertphillips | 17/09/2017 |
With RHB group of about 15. Landed at SW corner (11:20). Jason Hubert led climb. Hard scramble on top-rope for about 20m then steeply up on E side of ridge, cross and up steep grass to esier ground near summit. Back same route, abseiled off; finish 17:05. Gorgeous weather and views. | dbb | 17/09/2017 |
Lovely weather, relatively easy landing; grade 3 scramble up the pitch (IMHO), but ropes were set up so would have been rude not to use them. Easy rocks then steep grass to summit. Took a wander off to view the p42 stack Am Plastier. Descent easier than thought it would be. First one to the pitch, down climbed using safety rope for comfort. | jonglew | 17/09/2017 |
Thanks to Seumas for a successful landing, Jason for rope handling and to Graham and several others for helping me get up there. | Topographer57 | 17/09/2017 |
Great weather and 3 feet swell, 18 summited. A great lead climber, and good teamwork for landing and the pitch. Jason dangled a handrail rope down to the landing point, and then scampered up the pitch. I set up a handrail rope from the landing point across the rocks to the bottom of the pitch, and transferred each person onto the climbing rope. Graham, John, Steven and Rob attached them to the handrail as they got off the tender, and got them round the anchor points on the handrail. Everyone went to the top as soon as they were off the pitch, and the rope safety crew and Jason came up last. Above the pitch, easy scrambling with a few boulders and loose rock, then steep grass to the plateau, followed by a stroll to the summit. Jonathan lowered the first people back from the summit, then the last of the Krew abseiled, and Jason down climbed. A great start to a very successful trip. | Gill | 17/09/2017 |

With Rick, Jen and Martin; summit recorded at GR NA 0625901617. September 18 seems to be a popular date for this island. | richtea5040 | 18/09/2015 |
Landed on Soay island near Stac Dona. Did not proceed up initial pitch. Only my trekking poles summited. | Topographer57 | 18/09/2015 |
With Jenx, Martin R and Richard T, landed usual nose of Soay SE, 1m swell but microspikes great grip. I lead the slab, one peg for surety but not really needed, excellent gabbro. Up to right of ridge then cut back through to open steep grass and a zig zag right-left to top steepening. Through a water line to summit plateau. Amazing place. | nordicstar | 18/09/2015 |

Second island top on a misty day with Pete Ellis doing the calm lead climbing assisted by Dave Tyson and Alan Whatley. Once the slippy bits were out of the way it was just a rocky scramble then out onto a grassy ledge before upward and onward to the top. | Dugswell2 | 18/09/2014 |
With a large Marhofn gang. It was good to have a top rope on the greasy climb - thanks Pete! | Chris Peart | 18/09/2014 |

With Tim 747 and others. | Shutterlag | 18/09/2014 |
several landing poiints, we used the trad one, v greasy start as swell was high prev day; pitch a harddish scramble normally. Then bouldery, then airy traverse, then v steep grass. Flattish summit but v impressive drop-off to N. Cloud in and out, great views. 13 of us in 2 boatloads; Ken Whyte, Alan Holmes & I now 2 stacs from Marilyn completion. No bird issues but need NTS permission for boatman to land you | RHW | 14/09/2009 |
With the Marhofn group organised by Brent. Brilliant weather. Up SE landing via initial pitch lead by Ian T for us all. Very steep grass terraces for the rest of the climb. | Eddie | 14/09/2009 |
Made quite tricky landing with one of the Army and climbed easily to top trying not to damage too many puffin burrows. | signyred | 24/08/1966 |
