With RHS group. Easy landing at cove on NE coast 10250 97730. Steep long grass and other foliage, with puffin burrows. Crossed col and steeply up to top. Super views on a wonderful day. | dbb | 18/10/2017 |
nice sunny day, calm, good landing, up steep grass. | robertphillips | 18/09/2017 |
Morning stroll in glorious sunshine. Fairly easy going, over lush vegetables and grass, steepening to the summit. Fabulous short but sweet scrambling over a big drop towards the summit, easily avoidable on the way down (or up, depending on inclination). The only casualty: Peter's glasses went to Davy Jones locker. | Gill | 18/09/2017 |

Run across the bay for an easy landing on rocks NE side, under a looming (beckoning?) Am Fhaing. Nice traverse along steeply sloping vegetated ground, and a steep semi-scramble up to the summit. Dropped down the SE side and on to Gob an Duin over densely packed and very vegetated puffin burrows. Nice field of over-sized boulders for final 200m or so. | jonglew | 18/09/2017 |

Nice sunny day to romp through deep grass. | Martin R | 17/09/2015 |
With Martin, Rick and others from north end of Dun island. Steep and exposed, and getting up the initial slippery crags to the grass requires rope support, at least for inexperienced rock climbers. | Topographer57 | 17/09/2015 |
After Boreray this was much simpler. 9 landed, Jenx, me, Martin R, Richard T (prev summited), Peter Milne, Alison F, Jonathan DF, Hilary Bloor, Ian Galbraith. Easier if more extensive rocky landing area, then steepish grass to ridge. Along and up and down to gain main peak. Deep green veg, puffin burrow hazard, steep muddy ground between wasn't easiest but a fine summit experience for all with extensive views. | nordicstar | 17/09/2015 |
Sunny, dry, easy landing and well done to the less confident of the bunch. | iangalbraith | 17/09/2015 |

Camped on Hirta the previous evening to allow an early start to bag Dun's highest point. SeaHarris provided the boat and calm landing. | Dugswell2 | 18/09/2014 |
With a large Marhofn gang. Unfortunately there was no view. | Chris Peart | 18/09/2014 |

Choppy landing at far NW (R) end of island at NF 09938 97910, R of slabs, pretty much the only feasible location in a fair swell. Spent 3 hours exploring the island pretty thoroughly. Failed to summit the technical An Fhaing 120+. 2 day trip in sub-optimal conditions. Stacs Lee and Armin very slimy, too much swell to land. Sailed across from Hirta with SeaHarris and climbed up through puffin burrows to summit. Tricky landing on wet rock. | chriswatson | 27/09/2013 |
A brief lifting of the cloud base permitted some limited views. | Smudge | 27/09/2013 |
