Colsnaur Hill and Blairdenon Hill, starting and ending at Menstrie.tsharp27/02/2024
From parking area on Sheriffmuir Road just S of Glassingalbeg burn, with John and dogs (Islay and Millie). Headed South along Sheriffmuir Road to a bridge just before crossing a bridge to follow a forestry track ESE for about a mile. Cut offf ther track up through an obvious fire-break, countouring around the top of Big Hunt Hill, and up to Menstrie Moss, then North up and down several dips, following the fenceline all the way to Blairdenon Hill summit (no obvious summit marker). Followed fenceline to Greenforet Hill, then Northish towards Mickle Corum. At the low point before MIckle Corum, followed a faint grassy path to Glentyre Hill with the path turning into a strong track and heading back down to the cars on Sherrifmuir Road. Fog and low cloud meant low visibility for the entire walk, with wet thawing snow above 500m. Total time, 3h 5min.mproudfoot11/02/2024
First outing of the year. Blairdenon circular from Sherriffmuir. Ample verge parking to the west of Glentyre Hill at 314m spot height beside small patch of woodland. A good path goes over Glentyre Hill and then contours round south side of Mickle Corum onto Blairdenon Hill. Top lies just beyond junction of fences. Continued circular heading south following line of fence. Track is on west side of fence, as we discovered further down. Path continues towards Big Hunt Hill but just before final rise take path heading SW which drops down to good forest track which goes all the way back to road just south of old Sherriffmuir Inn. Continued along road back to start point on the muir.Jossker13/01/2024

Dedicated parking in Alva 100m N of golf club car park (NS885976). PF up the Alva Glen, crossing burn several times, then sticking to zig zags on steep W flank until gate and stile. Through gate, thin path fades out, then zig zag up on grass between bracken, to gully up Wee Torry (not recommended in descent unless you’ve been up this route before), on to Mid Cairn, then Bengengie Hill. ATV tk to Blairdenon Hill and round to Craighorn before col at NN888010, then pathless to col at NN894005 and up to Ben Ever. Up Ben Cleuch, greatly assisted by the wind, on to Andrew Gannel Hill and col at NN928004, up King’s Seat Hill and back to col. FP down E flank of Gannel Burn seems to be falling into disuse. Back along A91 to Alva, to give wind a chance to dry everything outIsbjorn21/09/2023

Circular route from Alva Glen car park. Followed path and track to NE of The Nebit, then easily up to the summit. Returned and then climbed NE up track to reach summit of Ben Ever. Continued to Ben Buck and Ben Buck NE top. Used windfarm track and then pathless terrain to contour round NW of Ben Buck then easy climb to Craighorn. Continued on to Blairdenon Hill and S along long ridge to Bengengie Hill and Mid Cairn. Descended down SE spur and obvious gulley to reach path down W side of Alva Glen to reach car park. Some rain, but reasonable visibility for much of route.RobertP14/10/2022

Climbed as part of an OMC day meet, starting off at the car park opposite the MacRae Monument, up past the old Sherriffmuir Inn then turning off the road at the Lairhill plantation. From here, a good path leads up and over Glentye Hill, Mickle Corum, Greenforest Hill to finish on Blairdenon. Where we met other club members who had walked up from both Perthshire and Clackmannanshire, in line with Scot Giv Covid guidelines.chillyman813/12/2020

From Bengengie Hill, a decent path & then ATV track whick skirts the head of West Cameron Burn & then up to track junction at 872015 - WNW along ATV track, over the 617 spot height & up to summit cairn. Continued to Craighorn & Ben Ever. (S)gerrybowes29/08/2018
After a brilliant traverse of the other Ochil New Donalds the previous day, returned for Blairdenon Hill on a dreich morning. Started at same place as pwbellarby - there is space to park just short of the trees off the road. Rough going until ground rises to Glentye Hill, then a bit better to Mickle Corum. Then followed fence to summit. A bit of a lump really compared to the other Ochil Donalds. Back by the same route & straight to the Gargunnock Beer Festival which was rather more interesting!NotReallyABagger12/08/2018
Solo from Menstrie, P in School Lane, up track then ATV to Colsnaur Hill and along fence/dyke to B summit: lunch here was abandoned as midges took first prize: lunch eventually taken in hollow at summit of CH. Returned by reversing uphill route. Very hot with little wind (car T read-out was 26degC at return). First visit was also solo on 15/09/2015, coming from Ben Ever through peat hags and returning to BE track; this second visit route from Menstrie was selected to avoid hags. An exploratory walk with F and A from M last year reached CH before aborting.jacobus06/06/2018

Parked by farm and took zigzag track up hillside. (Path to the left avoids farm buildings). Unfortunately missed turn off up Alva glen continuing up Silver Glen so ended up having to cross some nasty boggy ground covered in deep wet snow to reach summit. Back via Alva Glen.AndrewFinnimore11/01/2018

With Jenx. Up from parking at the temporarily closed Sherrifmuir hill, through the capse up road and a circuit taking in Glentye Hill, Greenforet Hill, BlairDenon, Kidlaw Hill and Big Hunt Hill. Mists just brushing the summit of the Donald, good walking on mainly paths or sorts.nordicstar19/01/2017
Solo. From group of trees at NN832026. After ascending Glentye Hill and Mickle Corum. I followed a track to one side of a fence roughly SE to reach the summit of Greenforet Hill. OS 1:25,000 map shows a spot height very close to the fence on the NE side but I think the highest point is on the SW side of the fence and a little away from it. I went on to Blairdenon Hill, passing a memorial which is where a tiger moth crashed. There is a small cairn at the highest point of Blairdenon Hill, slightly N of the fence junction. Careful observations suggest the ground 50m SE is not as high. Returned over Kidlaw Hill and Big Hunt Hill.pwbellarby19/10/2016

Solo; continuation of walk over Ben Ever by leaving its summit to re-join uphill track approaching its end; lunch taken here till the midges arrived; moved on over very difficult terrain of bog and peat hags until an atv track was found as the route began to rise to the summit of BH. Return to the track end involved going N to miss most of the bog and hags; easy descent on track, leaving it at a low hairpin bend and walking into Wood Hill forest, across Silver Burn to P along the access road to Ochil Hills Woodland Park. Weather was sunny, warm but with occasional blasts of wind from N or S.trienbrae15/09/2015
