From Nettleton Lane to the SW, into the field and then straight up and downJK15/03/2024

Hopped over the wall at the end of Nettleton Lane for a quick up and down.PGCE27/06/2023
From Harpur Hill Rd, easy parking then on the RoW towards Foxlow Fm. A way up with no walls or fences to cross was obvious from just before the farm (SK 065714). Any other way up this side looked very awkward if not impossible as there is a massive amount of housing development going. With Pete- another quick bag on this showery day.pwheeler16/03/2023
7th of 9. From the Fox Low farm track to west.steveb200602/03/2023
Parked on housing estate to SW up to Trenchard Drive and went up between older houses and new houses into Pasture and easily up to HP in fading light.PeterD03/12/2021
Parked in B and Q on A515, walked SE along road then SW along a farm/ reservoir track and over fields to obvious HP with grass covered rock outcrop. Clear frosty morning, winter sun just rising.Denise 01/12/2020
Via reservoir service road to summit pasture with outcropping limestone. Fine morning, clear views. Large new housing estates being built on N and S slopes of hill.RichardM01/12/2020
B&Q car park at SK 0695 7173 - SE on wide grass verge alongside the A515 for about 180m - Crossed road & up concrete service road to reservoir - Turned left at the locked gate & followed an ATV track around the outside of the compound before heading up to the summit knoll/tumulus. No walls or fences to cross. (S)gerrybowes13/11/2020
Nice autumn sun view over Buxton. Building site not so nice.davechaffey12/11/2020
Access from Harpur Hill curtailed by building works. Walked to Foxlow Farm on the bridleway. Between the farm and A515 is a large building site, and the path diverted to the east. Could probably get onto the hill from there, but continued on diversion to A515 - then took the oft-mentioned reservoir track option.Moorponder07/09/2020
From Trenchard Drive.Wycombe Wanderer30/08/2020
Parked on Burlow Avenue and headed up to Trenchard Drive route as mentioned by others, but new houses are being built there, so no access available. Instead headed down Nettleton Lane where it was easy to hop over the wall at the end. It was, however, 5am and it probably wouldn't be great during the daytime. Descended by the reservoir access track route, which was much better.Wheelsy19/07/2020

Easy walk up from Trenchard Drive.clivevilla23/07/2019
From B&Q along bridleway to Harpur Hill, then up the back of the hill. Returned via the reservoir. Lovely sunny afternnon.BobHancock28/03/2019
Ran up with Ed from Trenchard Drive after rock climbing at Harpur Hill quarry. Very pastoral and great views despite the nearby housing.John Eley29/06/2018
Parked at B&Q. Walked up A515 towards Ashbourne to lane on opposite side of road. Then took lane climbing over 3 gates to reservoir. Took left hand side of reservoir and then over wall into summit field. Good views from the top.Neil Haslewood17/07/2017

Up excellent track from A515, into reservoir compound and over broken wall.Campbell Singer11/10/2016
Parking available at the start of the track up to the reservoir (alt 1164ft). Follow this tarmac road as far as the reservoir entrance gate but turn immediately left, following the wall on the pasture side. This eventually enables a quick route up to the summit. 0.69 miles return.moorsman29/01/2016
Three new Tumps on 36km loop around Buxton today. Ascended from the NE via the reservoir track then round LHS of enclosure. Descended SSW to corner of road.davidpettit8423/01/2016
2nd and final hill of today, after Cowlow. From the A6 at 097725 i took the steep fp up to King Sterndale, following minor road to the A515 where i turned right (Nw) crossing A515 at point where disused railway crosses underneath. Climbed fence and headed up to copse which i followed then field edge, over one fence and from there an easy walk over a crumbled wall to the summit. Very misty and atmospheric. Descent to edge of trees at 067713 heading to fp that meets minor road on Harpur hill estate. Followed roads nack into Buxton and caught Transpeak back to Derby. Great day out!!Dazingdale14/09/2015

Parked SK770815 end of track, up track to and through gate just to left of reservoir entrance then around to right to top.Anton19/02/2014
