From the small parking area (approx 7 cars) which lies on the UA boundary, N. along stone/flagged path & then WSW for about 60m across damp moorland to unmarked summit. Plaque marking the source of the River Yarrow, 100m N. of parking area.gerrybowes17/11/2023
Parked to the south at 65496 15875. There was large school party having their lunches. I was full of joy at being out in the hills. Most of them were not happy at all. Straightforward walk along the path with a short off piste to the hp at the end.clivevilla12/09/2023
Parked to the S at the highpoint of Rivington Road. Good path except for the last 50m.PGCE30/08/2023

Parked - Rivington Road 9am. Steep climb to Winter Hill summit, then onto to Rivington pike and Spitlers Edge before return to car. Terrible underfoot due to slushy snow and deep mud.Argentum6606/12/2020
From Hordern Stoops to the south at the parking spot. Just over 2 miles and an hour. Being born and brought up only a few miles from here, it was notoriously bad in the late 50's/60's on this access north to Great Hill as there was no path of any description. Solo.bolton19/11/2020
up track from Yarrow reservoir, then across rough ground with deep grass directly to summit. Public RoW to the south would probably have been better, as there is a good flagged path running north-south across the summit plateau all the way to Great Hill. KeithByTheC11/11/2020
