26 mile clockwise circuit from Weags Bridge using bike between hills. Third hill of 6 - accessed from RoW to SE. Bright sunny day.steveb200625/10/2023
Parked in small layby at SK 126494 for a circuit of Hazelton Clump and Musden Low.PGCE05/10/2023
Started at Ilam, through the Country Park and across a footbridge then along steep ROWs to the derelict Upper Musden. Straight to the top of Musden Low, where a couple of farmers in a landrover enquired about the purpose of our visit. Happy for me to bag the summit and trig then back down to Upper Musden and along a track to the north of Hazelton Clump. A quick up and down before continuing along the track to the Blore Road then followed ROWs back to Ilam.summitter16/05/2022

Circular walk to Musden Low and Hazelton Clump from small parking at SK 12628 49486climbingkershaw13/06/2021
After doing Musden Low. Made the mistake of taking a shortcut going downhill. Ended up painfully climbing two bwfs and fighting thru hedges and brambles to return to fp.John Eley28/08/2020
Parked at 12638 49442, along FP to beyond a gate then straight up pasture to summit of Hazelton Clump. Then across to Musden Low. Close to the summit a farmer was cajoiling a bull back to his land with a land rover and a sheepdog. a couple of mintes later the neighbouring farmer appeared in a 4 x 4 and used some choice language about his neighbour but was OK with me.clivevilla04/06/2020
With fam except Evie. Started from CP to W. No problem accessing summit directly as stone walls have gaps. 110m ascentRoguePulsar01/01/2020
I was with my family. Easy to get to summit there was gaps in the stone wall.speedyclimber01/01/2020
Parked at side of road to SE of hill. Followed RoW NW into fields, and from then straight up into woods. Walls shown on OS map are broken down and so access was easy. Back same way.Wheelsy23/10/2019

1.7 mile there-and-back walk from parking place on road west of Blore, followed footpath around side of Hazelton Clump then across fields and up to Musden Low trig, came back the same way with divert to Hazelton Clump, had to cross fence under barbed wire to access summit, dull and cloudy. Earlier that day re-bagged Thorpe Cloud in a 9.9 mile walk.DanTrig26/12/2018

Initially paths over sheep pasture from Blore Pasture car park (free) then up over derelict limestone walls to summit hill fort ringed by fine Beech trees. Hazy views, cold.RichardM22/02/2018
2nd hill of two today, incorporated into a 6.5 mile circular walk from Ilam park with Lesley. We took a route through Musden wood to Calton Green, Upper Green House to Musden Low then by a series of fences but only one climb over a barbed wire fence. I spotted a break in the series of boundary fences guarding the summit. The inside area of trees have been harvested leaving the perimeter trees including the Summit close to the sycamore tree. We had some snacks sitting on one of the fallen branches before braving the cold wind on a beautifully sunny day, descending East to follow track then onto lane before heading NE on fp to another minor lane taking fp down to St. Bertram's bridge and back to the start in Ilam park.Dazingdale07/01/2018
Musden Low followed by Hazelton Clump after parking to the SSE of Hazelton Clump with Martin.Dugswell204/11/2017
As others, from the SE. Along BW, through gate, northwards up side of wall. Over hurdle at the top to get round the wall and BWF that forms the S boundary of the copse. Lovely atmospheric summit,Moorponder23/10/2017

1/10 Having finished work early and with another sunny day warming up I reasoned I could get stuck in to the tops around The Manifold valley. I had planned on doing the ten tops as a continuous round but with the weather being so hot I felt I'd not be able to carry enough fluids. So split them up into bite size walks. This top along with Musden Low became the first ones of the day. Parked at start of footpath to South of top. Straightforward enough. No views from the top of course..stig_nest26/05/2017

Easy open grass pasture from SE to large tree clump.Good views of Thorpe Cloud whose summit can be seen to be same level as the surrounding high valley edges.Chris Pearson26/07/2015
Small layby to south at SK 12628 49486. Public footpath to first wall then followed this north up to wooded summit enclosure. Highest point at base of large sycamore at SK 12514 49865. Returned to footpath same way then carried on to Musden Low.David Gradwell29/03/2015
From east side, across mined ground and through the trees to hummock. Lovely hill, would have liked to have had time to have a look at the cave on the north side.DanHolme02/01/2015
Easy access from FP to east.Tree clump ringed by tenuous two strand fence. Summit obvious hummock at far side of wood.ngthack26/11/2014
