As Campbell Singer. Parked on bend to SSW & used metal steps to get over gate to E. side of wall - Across rough ground, over very old rusty gate which lies about 60m E. of wall corner & then picked up vehicle track to high point on S. side of wall. Curlew calling.gerrybowes09/03/2024
From Bolton by Bowland after Beacon fell. Up row field to double gate up to South side of wall. Wall pretty serious so went back to row and through gate to north side and up to top. North side seems highest.Flatfield11/03/2023
From road bend to south. Went to both sides of wall to be sure.PeterD12/07/2022

3/5 Tump day in the Forest of Bowland. Simple walk across the access land from the road bend. (S)silveracorn_alan20/12/2020

From the bend to the south. Better crossing the novel metal steps on the gate rather than going over the wall. One decrepit old gate to cross before heading up to top beside wall. Stick to east side all the way.Campbell Singer18/01/2020
Park by bend in road, PROW through access land. Several 280m ring contours, this is probably the highest spot.cjo24/11/2019
At place on hill-bagging but the other 280m contour rings.vegibagger23/11/2019
11th and final Tump of the day from the BAggerRambles at Slaidburn. Easy parking on the road bend, and style over wall gives access. Lovely walk in the dark if a bit wet at first.Minto23/11/2019
Bit of a waste of timepeebs01/11/2018
Open access in name only with all gates secured and topped with barbed wire reinforced by difficult terrain underfoot. Gate alongside the road to the SW just below the 277 spot height. Over the gate and head for a second gate just north of east. Over the double gate and across the field to the summit. 1.18km return, 20 dreary minutes.moorsman19/10/2018

2x lethally slimy stiles. Great sun. Last tump of 2017: a very quiet year.GordonAdshead31/12/2017

With Jo, from Cocklet Hill car park. Road to Spion Kop trig, returning over Ling Hill (two tops) and past Fells and Shays. Weather; cloudy, mild, good visibility.amblerbob24/04/2016
Up from road as other loggers.Reasonably good views today.catman13/04/2016
From ssw, cut benchmark halfway up gatepost at startRHW05/03/2016
As previous loggers, verge parking at SD 75605 53060. Ignore barbed wire topped gate and keep to west side of wall as terrain on east side pretty bad. Easy to climb wall at wall junction near summit. Highest natural ground on south side of wall at SD 75821 53469. Rim of dug out hollow on north side of wall could be as high.David Gradwell21/07/2014
Approached as for previous logger. Thought highest point might be over the wall (stile) at rim of a dug out hollow.Aye Jimmy01/07/2014
Parked to the south at the road corner then used footpath stile to access the moorland field. I climbed over a barb wired top gate to gain field with summit in it to south of wall but easier to climb wall at junction for return to the car.Dugswell204/09/2013
