Walked from car park up Dumyat, via castle law, in roaring gale and showers. Feared we would take off from the top and fly over Stirling University.Toby-and-Dion19/08/2023

I fractured my right foot's cuboid bone on 15/05/2023, so I've been wearing a Moon Boot and sticking around the house. With Richard Moore and Karen Webber, started from Sheriffmuir Road, along main hill path and back the same way. First 'hill' in five weeks, 1:40 hrs good views.chillyman820/06/2023
Early evening ascent along good path from car park to west. Great views from trig, memorial and HP.PeterD02/06/2023

From the main car park to the west. Straightforward walk to the top in fairly drizzly weather.the pigguy 29/04/2023
Failed to locate the rope protected path up Castle Law so went up tourist path instead. With Lesley. A 5 year old child ahead of me on the path was a useful pace-setter.Nick Canute16/04/2023
Edinburgh Queer Hillwalking Group, from Bridge of Allan train station. Approx 45 folk in two groups. Up via Mine Woods, Cocksburn Reservoir, then the Sheriffmuir hill path to the summit. Down the east slope to Dumyat Farm and then westward along track and through field to Logie Kirk and then across Uni campus, with a meal in the Westerton Arms, Bridge of Allan.chillyman815/01/2023
Repeat visit. Short day out but a quality one. Starting from Blairlogie Meadows/Orchard car park, up first bit of Blairlogie Glen, then striking off around the south face of Castle Law on the crags path to the upper reaches of Warloch Glen. Up on to Castle Law for lunch. Good view of hoards of tourist type people teeming up the Sherrifmuir motorway path to the summit. Most accompanied by screaming kids and yapping dogs. Headed over to the summit and stood on the actual summit (which most of the tourist types didn't bother to do - the fire basket was sufficient for them). Descended south and then across to the Warloch Glen for a steep but spectacular descent down this gully back to the bottom. Apart from the tourists (must have been a couple hundred of them) on the summit and Sherifmuir motorway, we only met two other people all day and our route had all the character of a mini mountain. Saw roe deer and kestrel.Fife Walking15/01/2023
From cp on Sherriffmuir road. A few big puddles about. Road up from Logie kirk is worth avoiding, very steep, single track road with very few passing spots. A great wee winter walk with a very low bog factor.colazione30/12/2022
Footpath from Blairlogie CP. Steep and back with diversion to site of hill Fort. Manky day but still a wide assortment of people and dogs.sarahk28/12/2022

From the car park by Black Hill.Took the made path up. A 3 generation family walk.Hirta19/11/2022
Parked in the most northerly of the car parking areas to E. at NS 8130 9800 - Up the very popular path to the summit rock which is rather overshadowed by the large cairn topped with a beacon basket, the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Memorial & trig point.gerrybowes23/09/2022
With Mike and Lesley. From car park on Sheriffmuir Road to the east of Black Hill. Mostly well-marked footpath virtually direct to summit. Path dry and crumbly in places, as on North Berwick Law two months earlier, following weeks with little rain. Dry but cloudy, with fresh wind from the west. Many folk out for Sunday afternoon walk, and several bicycles, two of them powered. View extensive in most directions, though hazy.mainnirnamfiadh07/08/2022
