Detour from circular walk from Edisford Bridge car park. With Davidcitygent08/07/2020
Second walk today. Parked on Waddington Road then walked on the Ribble Way to the Edisford Bridge. Then back along Edisford Road before using footpath from WNW and then SW before detour to revisit the summit of Waddow Hill during Covid-19 with very few people around.Dugswell201/06/2020
Nice wander from Clitheroe then a stroll along the river. Campsite closed but an easy wander up tracks the summit tree.Jake99421/03/2020
From layby over bridge. Paths almost to top beyond tree.Bramley27/02/2020
parked in lay-by above bridge good path most of the way upcolinfielding21/01/2020
Parked at the lay-by above the bridge. Easy early morning walk using fp and then directly up hill.. Back via empty camp.Campbell Singer14/01/2020
Parked north of bridge. Definately one to do in winter, no guides.bevandy11411/01/2020

From road, initially along FP/ access road, then up track to camp area and HP beneath tree. Only do walkers about this time of year.PeterD27/12/2019
Approached from the west going over a narrow ridge with rock outcrop that seemed as high as the official summit. Disturbed 3 roe deer .Adrian28/11/2019
Gentle Amber up ROW from EAST with Antony Whitehead, a little g Few specs of rain.vegibagger25/11/2019
Short walk from the road into Waddow Hall groundsButeobuteo25/11/2019
Girl guide camp, luckily closed for winter and obviously frequented by dog walkers. Visited three possible grassy limestone ridges of similar height and decided the one with the horse chestnut was the highest. Parking by bridge on road.Denise 24/11/2019
Nice round about route from cemetery parking via river and the bridge of course.jenx24/11/2019
Parked N of bridge. Footpath through grounds to x-roads below summit rise - which is where all the camp sites are located. Saw no one, but wouldn't like to try this outside of winter.Minto23/11/2019
From Brungerley Bridge into grounds of Waddow Hall, followed track to the highest point with a very large conker treeWayne Mac30/10/2019
Walked up from the camp centre as I was staying in Rose Cottage with Lyndsey. membership can be useful. Obvious high point by the parking spaces for the campsites.Sixtyplus23/10/2019
Parked at Booths in town then walked to bridge and followed moorsman route, then back to castle hillMark Sims02/09/2019

Parking (midweek and winter weekends) on the northern side of Brungerley Bridge. Pick up the footpath towards Waddow Hall. Turn left on reaching the solid road and right to head round the hill. From near the top a path leaves the road and goes up to the summit. Area is a guiding camp site ... beware of small girls giggling. 1.06 km 15 minutes returnmoorsman20/10/2018
As Aye Jimmy from layby at SD 73831 42961. Summit now sorted with Lidar data and is smack on 108m spot height on 25k map.David Gradwell10/06/2018
Access from ENE (spot ht.71 on B6478) involves walking thru' a girl guide camp site - probably best avoided when occupiedcarole engel27/12/2017
As Aye Jimmy. Visited the various high points.RobertP10/12/2017

Gorgeous early evening with a real high summer feel. Good view back to Beacon Fell that I'd just climbed. Nice little stroll to the summit tree.Wycombe Wanderer17/07/2016
Camp area next to AJ's suggested high point was occupied by tents & a formidable girl guide leader, who intercepted me. Persuaded her I was harmless & only interested in hill bagging. Didn't hang around & only bagged what seemed to be the high point.ngthack01/05/2016
From ese, a few folk about Sat am but hill itself deserted. Guess sw summit is higher as AJ, se summit a possible contender, the two to n appear lowerRHW05/03/2016
With Jo, from Clitheroe Interchange: across Brungerley Bridge to Waddow Hill (agree with AJ re high point, but visited other likely tops), and then back to Clitheroe Castle Hill. Weather; sunny at first, dull later, good visibility throughout.amblerbob16/02/2016
Up from the bridge.Becoming dark so couldn't see views(if any).catman03/02/2015
Layby about 30m N of Brungerley Bridge. Short distance up hill is gate and f/p leading through private grounds of Waddow Hall Activity Centre. Path leads towards high ground, at least three contenders for summit, perhaps grassy ridge with a few rocks at SD 73362 42809.Aye Jimmy05/06/2014
As Doug except it was a hailstorm for me.Martin R09/01/2014
Parked to the north of Brungerley Bridge. Area appears to be used for camping with path of sorts over/near summit. Very warm sunny day as the summer of 2013 continues.Dugswell218/07/2013
With: solo; I visited Waddow Hall while at CRGS in Clitheroe - I was in Waddow house. I guess we went up the hill. Date is approximate.Ian Baines01/05/1972
