From large lay-by on A1079 Eastbound, a short walk N. along track to trig point & ground 30m SE of trig point; both lie in stubble close to track.gerrybowes01/09/2022

The track from the layby to the south drops after the mast to TP. The hedge to the left of the track (west) is on a ridge, with a gap in the hedge at the crest, probable HP. The ridge seems permanent if not entirely naturalhenryfm25/06/2022
The trig pillar may be the HP but it's all so flat. All surrounding artificial structures visitedColin Crawford07/10/2021

Bagging by car and top deck of bus - A1079 a regularly used road in the late 1980s so no point singling out a date. Stopped by with Pete in 2021 and visited the Trig- still thought the crown of the road higherpwheeler05/06/2021

From the long layby on the A1079 immediately S; over field gate. Trig pillar maybe at the HP, or might be on the field boundary. Chanced upon the co-located (unsecured) ROC post - couldn't resist a peak inside.jonglew26/09/2018

Revisit as the last time there was a thunderstorm taking place. Good parking directly alongside the access path. Short walk through an easy to open gate. Trig appears the highest natural ground though other man made features are higher.moorsman25/09/2016
Parked at lay by. Just a few yards into field. Bunker is higher than tp but reservoir is even higher!!Campbell Singer21/04/2016

Easy approach to the triangulation pillar from the layby. Resisted the temptation to climb down the ladder into the nearby bunker as I forgot to bring a torch.yorkie18/01/2016
From road. The bunker is an ROC Cold War nuclear monitoring post. Other Tumps with these on, are Mellor Moor (16726) & Church Hill nearby at Holme on Spalding Moor.ngthack20/12/2015
