From Bruces Stone CP up Buchan Burn path to Loch Neldricken then rough going (slabs helped higher up) to the summit of Craignaw for my Donald completion. Returned pretty much the same way in 75 degree sunshine. | SS | 31/05/2023 |

Parked at Bruce's Stone car park in Glen Trool, walked up to Loch Valley, around the west side of Loch Neldricken then stopped at a sandy beach on Loch Enoch for lunch. Up Mullwharchar first, then south to Dungeon Hill and on to Craignaw. Rough descent over lots of grass tussocks, to join a path on east side of Loch Neldricken, then rejoined the outward route at Loch Valley, when I was caught in a heavy shower, dry for rest of day, 09:50hrs all in. | chillyman8 | 19/08/2022 |
From Bruce's stone car park on a Two day walk wild camping on the shores of Loch Enoch. Following the Gairland burn route up to Loch Neldricken from here the route took in Craig Neldricken, Craignaw, Craignairny and Dungeon hill before descending to Loch Enoch to pitch the tent. Day Two involved climbing Mullwarchar and Hoodens hill returning via the West side of Loch Enoch where I was able to follow a faint path to the Buchan burn and onto the ruin of Culsharg Bothy finally heading south to the car park. Seventeen mile with 4350ft of ascent. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 13/07/2022 |
From Loch Trool CP via Loch Valley and Loch Neidricken and then tussocky and rocky ground to summit. Hard going put me off extending over Dungeon Hill, so simply retraced the route back. | benalder284 | 27/03/2022 |
From Loch Valley where I was camping via Loch Neldricken. Excellent summit. | sclater | 20/03/2022 |

Solo. Parked at Craigencallie. Track walk in to southern end of Craignaw (645m), up onto ridge and along to summit. Loch Enoch. Then up Mullwarchar (692m). Late decision to then summit Craignairny (595m) and Dungeon Hill (620m) due to beautiful evening sun, then a tricky descent and across to Back Hill of Bush. Track return. | meltdiceburg | 24/08/2021 |
Good mountain own way up and down. Love Devils bowling green. rocky | Adventurers5 | 14/08/2021 |

Parked at Craigencallie mid afternoon. Biked to Backhill o Bush and climbed Craignaw direct. Then onto Craignairny, down to Loch Enoch and up to Mullwharchar. Bivvied out at the summit - what a place. Early start the next day. Took in Dungeon Hill before descending to Backhill o Bush and thenbike back to Craigencallie. | jigglybones | 10/07/2021 |

A circuit of Craignaw, Dungeon Hill and Craignairny from The Bruce's Stone car park. Only company encountered was one goat on the De'il's Putting Green. Superb surroundings, but tough underfoot: calling the Gairland Burn Path 'muddy' is a heroic understatement. | Nick Down1 | 02/10/2020 |
Bruce's Stone parking area at end of public road at NX 4158 8044 & up Craig Neldricken, Craignairny & Dungeon Hill. From Dungeon Hill, back to col & headed SSW on a good trod/path to the cairn on col - Up intermittent path to the summit cairn passing over many large granite slabs including the impressive Devil’s Bowling Green. Intended bagging Craiglee, but the long grass & uneven ground on the S. slopes of Snibe Hill & the N. slopes of Craiglee put paid to that idea. Descended Rig of Jarkness. 8th hill of 11 on an epic traverse from the Forest drive near Loch Riecawr to the Minor road leading from Caldons towards Glen Trool, climbing Macaterick, Hoodens Hill, Mullwharcher, Dungeon Hill, Craignairny, Craig Neldricken then with intensive rain and wind I sheltered to eat my lunch behind three large boulders that gave a modicum of protection before working my way round the ridge leading to Craignaw, exploring the rocks and boulders close to the summit before descending Sw and then heading towards Meaul,my next top... | Dazingdale | 11/10/2018 |
Solo from P Glen Trool, out to Buchan and up path to L. Neldricken: path was dry and serviceable - much improved from quagmire of previous and aborted attempt at C and DH on 09/09/2017. Mid Burn was low in water, easy to cross, then up E by N to lochan (dry) on S ridge of C and on to summit for first phase lunch. Contiued N for Dungeon Hill. Weather was v warm but with a cooling light wind. First visit was 03/05/2009 with J. | jacobus | 09/07/2018 |

From the camp at the eastern end of Loch Valley, ascended to Snibe Hill and then on to summit. Then NNW to coll with Craignairny, which was passed by the coll with Dungeon Hill. Finally camped on the northern shores of Loch Enoch. A fine granite hill. | mindlessflogger | 17/09/2017 |

Wild camp, Mullwharchar, Dungeon Hill, Craignaw and out to Glen Trool. | Flatfield | 15/04/2017 |
Last of 8 hills on a 16 mile round from Bruce's Stone CP with Alex C. Fine hill with small cairn on large boulder at HP. Old 19thC pivot benchmark on slab rock near summit. From Craignairny; 6k slog back to CP in rain over rough descending ground picking up a poor peaty track at outflow of Loch Neldricken. | jonglew | 09/04/2017 |
From Bruce's Stone (8:45) took path (boggy but not too bad) to L Neldricken. Fainter path along S shore, trackless thereafter - hard going in long grass. Followed stream then ridge on L to top (11:25). Huge granite slabs. Sunshine, great views. Continued down S ridge, across valley and steeply up to Craiglee NW ridge (Rig of Jarkness) and to summit (13:40). Hard going low down in deep trackless grass; easier on granite higher up. Down SW ridge (easier, grazed by cattle) to S Upland Way and thus back to car (16:10). Lovely day. | dbb | 02/10/2016 |
Continued to Craignaw after Craiglee N Top on a solo backpack from Glen Trool. | Sprog | 05/06/2016 |
Parked at the end of Glen Trool then walked to the south beach of Loch Neldrickery before climbing NE to Craignaw with Chris Watson. Then we headed south via Snibe Hill and Craiglee N Top to Craiglee before returning via the Rig of Jarkness. | Dugswell2 | 04/06/2016 |
A wet and windy day in a pretty poor summer of weather was no surprise. I set off from Glen Trool and took in Craignaw, Mullwharchar, Merrick and Benyellary. I did get a bit of a view from Craignaw. The other summits well!!! This area was wild and pathless apart from the descent from Merrick. Distance 22k in 6 hours 40 minutes. | isabelle | 02/08/2015 |

1st summit on a glorious day via Gairland Burn and extremely soggy paths. Loved the granite and the amazing Devil's Bowling Green to the north. Then off to Merrick. | signyred | 19/04/2013 |
W Jenx from Glen Trool CP. Grand tour of Marilyns and lesser tops to east of Merrick to finish on Craiglee. Buchan Hill > Rig of Loch Enoch > Mullwharcher > Dungeon Hill > Craignairny > Neldricken > Craignaw.
