Loop of 6 hills, disappointingly bland! Hopefully the northern end of the Chase is prettier! Parked on Rugeley Road below Rawnsley Hill just after the last house. Rawnsley Hill, Stile Cop, Upper Cliff, Castle Ring, Wimblebury Hill, Hednesford Hills. 15km in 3 hrs.Nicky C18/12/2023

A 1hr 50 min circular walk / jog from Hazelslade over 3 little tumps lined up close together like dominoes in a row (Rawnsley Hills, Upper Cliff, Stile Cop) with a loop over Hednesford Hill then tacked on. Mountain Biking is big on Cannock Chase with two well known established waymarked trails called the `Monkey Trail' (15 miles) and the 7 mile 'Follow the Dog`. This latter trail designed for competent riders comes over the summit of Upper Cliff where signboards point the way and list lots of safety tips. Next year Birmingham hosts the 2022 Commonwealth Games with new trails to be built on Cannock Chase to host the mountain bike events.Chris Pearson19/11/2021
