6/20. As others, via reservoir track from SW. Tractor in field to S so had to keep my wits about me. Very nice hill though. 15 mins.Mark Jackson05/09/2023
A strange route along the track.Play2End28/09/2022

With Sonja. Parked on the road southwest of the hill at SP 3528 4251 (small layby immediately south of the track to the reservoir opposite a sign for 'the Old Generator Building'). Followed the vehicle track up to the reservoir (approx 350 metres) then continued north over rough grass to the trig and summit. Wide all-round views but hazy. Watched the gliders taking off from airfield below the hill.Skip04/11/2020
4 Tump circuit from Shutford: Barton Hill, Long Hill, Epwell Hill, Shenlow Hill. 14km, 325m ascent.PGCE29/05/2020
Easy enough ascent up tractor tracks - we veered off and to the left after the reservoir towards masts. But you can keep following the tracks and get there almost as fast.sjb05/10/2019
Prominent little hill up the tracks to the reservoir and beyond.clivevilla17/08/2019
Parked at end of track to reservoir. Easy walk up it on cloudy morning with sun breaking through. Followed tracks of farm vehicles down, a few yards away from way up.pwheeler15/07/2019

8th Tump of 11 on a 46.3km traverse from Goldicote bus. park to Banbury climbing Rough Hill,Idlicote hill, Castle Hill, Brailes Hill, Mine Hill, Broom Hill and Epwell Hill, continuing over Rough Hill before turning back onto the lane, I took the overgrown track leading to the reservoir. High point next to the trig pillar, recording SP 35535 42734. Nice tump.Descent SE to the lane, veering off for Long Hill....Dazingdale01/06/2019

As others, track from W, up past circular reservoir to trig and HP nearby.Aye Jimmy07/09/2017
3rd of 6 today. From West via track. Mountain bike horseshoe route from Banburytrimarc215/06/2017
Same route as others. Can't think what possessed them to paint the reservoir white. A nice shade of green would have been my choice.Herbert Anchovy29/03/2017
Along the track from the west. Past reservoir and up to summit. No gorse or nettles.Campbell Singer26/02/2017
3 TuMP walk / jog circuit from Epwell village.Up from SE after Long Hill and down to SW. Kart racing was in full noisy flow next to the gliding club. The airfield was formerly RAF Edgehill - an appropriate name given the slope dropping away to the west-which must provide ideal uplift for gliding, although Shenlow Hill itself must cause wind eddying and be an inconvenient hazard to gliders coming in on finals when a NE wind is blowing. Presumably more often they would normally take off over this hill by winch or tug plane into the more usual South Westerlies.Chris Pearson17/02/2017
Parked to south west by a track just south of 187m spot height, walked up road and then track from west, climbed gate and headed NE for a bit and then back NW to make easier approach to summit. Long trousers needed for summit in nettles near fence just 6m from trig! Lovely views. Epwell hill looked inviting, but loads of cattle on summit, so elected for Red Hill near Oxford en route home to Hertfordshire! Heard a weird sound looked up, at a glider flying past, creepy but beautiful!pdantic21/07/2016
From west along track to covered reservoir and then up to trig. Good views. Gliders were active today.PeterD14/05/2016
Lower Brailes to Sibford Gower. Noticed others on top during approach along road although they'd disappeared off to W by the time I arrived.Smudge29/12/2015
From road to west up res. track. Reservoir looks like a grounded flying saucer. Nice hill.ngthack31/08/2015
From minor road; on vehicle track to reservoir then over pasture to trig pillar at summit.jonglew17/06/2015
