2nd tump of 7 today after walking Badby Down as a circular from the village, i caught the 11.22 bus to Banbury getting off at the Solden Hill Lodge stop then over a gate to explore the 1st spot height and then over and thrpugh a hedge for rhe 2nd one. Beutifully subtle flat summit plateaux in vast field. Followed hedgeline and back onto verge. I walked back to Byfield to catch the next bus to Hinton (Woodford Halse)..Hinton Hill next... | Dazingdale | 15/09/2018 |

Short stroll to trig and twin tops | Colin Crawford | 08/01/2018 |
Parked in Westhorp, followed bridle way southwest, ascended by field edge to gate near A.361 road, entered the western field and walked across highest point in middle of field to trig, and navigated back to spot height, which I thought was higher than ground by tree at the bend. Went back to gate, and then along other side of fence to tree to be sure, and discovered a big gap in the fence, making my detour pointless. Field to east tricky as electric fence barred the way. Walked along A.361 to find gate into field which opened easily. Navigated to spot height near wooden pole in middle of field, which had even more sheep in than the first one. | pdantic | 16/11/2017 |
Same route as AJ, HPs then trig. | PeterD | 05/11/2017 |
Trig then Tump summits. | Dugswell2 | 06/08/2017 |
Parked at entrance area to Golden Hill Farm. Walked down the road until opening into field with a lot of sheep and first summit near electricity pole. Then continued S through hedge into next field, another summit near curve in field edge. Then continued further to trig point (rejoices in the name of Nippets) in hedge in next field. | Aye Jimmy | 06/08/2017 |
Took bus route 200 from Banbury. There is a bus stop almost at the top. | trimarc2 | 18/05/2017 |
Good viewpoint. Biggest problem is finding somewhere to pull in on the busy A361. | JohnW | 15/05/2017 |
Trig and field high point(s) from pull in . 'Bagging Wagglers'(?) are common here -being a recommended bait for the fishing 'Mecca' of Boddington Reservoir down to the west - with a record of 660lbs of weight of fish caught by 1 person in 6 hours. I think I equaled that record today in the weight of rich Northants mud collected on my wellies in 6 hours. | Chris Pearson | 23/03/2017 |
Out and back from Byfield. | rhalstead | 26/02/2017 |
P SE of trig. Went to trig, spot height in same field then Rob's top by tree then to spot height in next field (sheep). | chrisbien | 09/10/2016 |

Charwelton to Woodford Halse via the secluded Boddington Reservoir. | Smudge | 09/04/2016 |
Parked in gateway and wandered across two pasture fields to cover both tops. Excellent views on this beautiful day. Northamptonshire is more delightful than I expected. | Campbell Singer | 18/02/2016 |
Went to both RHW's GRs. It was very foggy and couldn't see a tree at the second one but it did seem to be the high point. | clivevilla | 02/11/2015 |
