Mad rush on from Keythorpe Farm by a fleet of mighty tractors each with with a gaint trailer to fill to get the cut grass in before the morning drizzle wet it through.I stood aside as each rumbled at speed up the track - each driver kindly giving me a cheery wave - although given a choice I would have been even happier for them to keep both hands on the wheel! Clearly the whole family had been pressed into service - I marvelled at one sallow youth looking hardly 16 yrs old nonchantly controlling one monster tractor, then behind him roared past his petite younger sister driving a similar machine with the same relaxed ease! Luckliy they all headed down into the easten fields and peace resumed.Chris Pearson20/05/2022

Circular walk from/to Hallaton, taking in Keythorpe Trig Point on the way. A flat field 'summit plateau', quite non descript with limited views. HP near Bassett's Hill Spinney across the field.praenterprise04/03/2022

As others, from near trig.PGCE24/12/2020
Midshires Way being a byway, drove up and parked just past the trig pillar. Farm track follows field boundary, took a direct line back to car. HP somewhere in middle of a flat field... probably.jonglew23/08/2020

Easy parking in field entrance by trig point high spot.DC11main05/03/2017
Circular from north, using footpaths and a link over the top, in field. My non-bagging companion was bemused by the seeming pointlessness of the visit.Colin Crawford04/01/2017

Four Hill circular from Hallaton with Sheeba .We Accessed hill from bridleway (Midshires way) from The South and close to The brow of The hill there is an op ening in The hedge giving access. Headed to spot height but there is no distinctive summit. This is The type of hill that may lose height due to ploughing. Sheeba and i zig-zagged to maximise chance of locating highest point . We exited via thinnest point between field and enclosed woodland and a footbridge Took us to The outskirts of The field. We Headed sw to take us onto The public fp towards The Pine tree stud and then onto The minor road leading towards Glooston. PS. Bassetts Hill Was ploughed and We had big clumps of clay on our shoes.Dazingdale06/04/2014
