Final tump of the day and my HERTS completion tump, after Highwood Hill, the long walk up, visiting Mimms lane junction then backtracking to walk through park where i got a consistently 1m higher reading at end of park but If I had to opt for a top then it would be the pavement West of the rectangular green, sporting a few trees. Very level area! Continued to Porters Park drive to catch the 602 bus to St. Albans.Dazingdale19/01/2020
Visited suggested HPs, settled for grassy triangle with stone trough near road junctions.Aye Jimmy08/09/2019

Cycle ride from Watford, cloudless skies and hot sunshine. A wander around the essentially level village park, recreation area and along Harris Lane before concluding the likely high point is at the end of Cage Pond Road, next to Cherry tree.RichardM29/06/2019

Stopped twice within a few mts of Harris Lane. Damsels in distress with flat battery. Not the battery but duff starter motor. Then after leaving the summit I was accosted by people looking for a funeral in Shenley. As I had a detailed map I managed to direct them to the church. I can't be as useless as I thought.Campbell Singer22/02/2018

Somewhere around the junc of Harris Lane and Mimms Lane. In the grassed island at the junc, by the stone water trough perhaps.jonglew13/01/2016
The top could be either side of the road, or possibly in the middle. Bike ride from Elstree Stationtrimarc231/07/2015
Parked near recreation ground, walked down Mimms lane to just beyond the 100m contour, then back up to road junction , various verges, and all high points in park, highest probably a slight mound near the hedge between the two parts of park. Lovely summer's evening to complete 3 tumps on the first day of my long summer hols.pdantic04/07/2015
Radlett Circular. NB Herts Way ROW through Wood Hall Farm to S has been altered recently (change showing on 1:25K but not on current 1:50K data it seems).Smudge16/11/2014

Summit could be anywhere. Basically park land and football pitches. No access problems. Easy parking to N by the crossroads.destaylor07/02/2014
E verge highest? Flat area, SH at road jct.RHW26/02/2012
I used to run on the lanes from Well End round Ridge and Shenley when I lived in Edgware; with the very good farm road to Crossoaks Fm., there was little traffic- often more horses than cars. Typical run 10 miles in 74 min; also cycled to Pinks from Edgware so this hill visited a few timespwheeler17/08/1992
