Walk up from Chagford. Sunny to start but clouded up with a bit of light rain. Descent a bit slippy in trainers. Did see Swifts, Buzzards and Meadow Pipit. Time taken just under an hour for 2.15 miles.isabelle25/06/2023
First of two hills as part of loop from Chagford. Steep lane onto easy amble across common.fnem28/11/2022

An hour' s high intensity interval session (HITT) over Meldon and Nattadon. 20 secs max effort, 40 secs recovery and repeat. (If you do it properly you won't want to do it again - a good Joe Wicks quote). Flook found it all very easy despite having already had a high intensity session jumping into the river for sticks. Helps being a strapping pointer . From Meldon this time down SE then down lane to waterfall path for 3rd ascent.Chris Pearson08/04/2018
2nd ascent. Again with Flook the Pointer, but this time running my own Two Hills Race to see what it is like. STEEP. Lovely ascent by the ' waterfall route' as it is known locally, from bend in the road. Fast descent to cricket pavilion in only 9 mins from summit. Good to be back running on the hills and getting the endorphin fix after pulled muscle recovery. Flook found it all very easy as usual.Chris Pearson06/04/2018
Summit is small level area of short grass with low rocky outcrop within heather and gorse. Accessed via well- used paths through woodland from road junction to west. Parked at base of Meldon Hill.Denise 11/02/2018
From Meldon Hill via the bracken covered Meldon Common then path from bend in road up the W slope. Remains of hill fort ring mound amongst the summit gorse. High point un-marked grass.RichardM11/02/2018

With Lesley and Flook the dog. Sweated steeply up fp from Chagford . This route is one of the two ' devilishly steep climbs' on the annual Two Hills race , the other being Meldon Hill. Even Flook the bounding German pointer that we are minding for a week was slowing now towards the end of a 6 hour walk around the moors from Chagford on a gloriously hot day .Chris Pearson06/08/2016
Large off-road parking area from where a wide path leads to the summit.moorsman19/08/2014
From ENE. Small gorse clump: nearby rock outcrop appears slightly lower.RHW12/04/2014
